Indigo Gameboy Player for America?

Has Nintendo annouced if and when an indigo Gameboy Player will be coming out in America? I'd really like to get it in indigo instead of black to match all my other Gamecube/GBA hardware.

no word on it as far as i know.
i doubt it will come to the us, but it's possible.

Does anyone know of any issues with importing a Japanese Gameboy Player and using it on an American Game Cube?

the only issue is booting it.  you can either mod you cube (unlikely), get a free-loader disc (around $20 + shipping), or order a US Boot disc from Nintendo's online store (around $15 + $5 shipping).
