Heh.  This game keeps flying under my radar.  I always refer to it as Namco's Other GameCube RPG, and I constantly get flamed for naming an RPG for GameCube that nobody knows about.  Being that it's made by Monolith though, I have nothing but high hopes for it.  IMO, Monolith is the modern day Square.

Thank you VERY much for the screenshots though.  It's the first I have actually seen of the game.

"Monolith Soft = modern day Square," I don't think so. Square's made some crappy games lately(Kingdom Hearts, Unlimited Saga), but Monolith Soft only has one title released which has bad music, story(my opinion), and sidequests.

I'm not liking the 2D background since it'll take away the cinematic feel to the game, but it is an RPG nonetheless so I have my eyes on it.

Gup, Monolith has made my favorite RPG of all time, which was known as Xenogears.  It's true that I have not yet played Xenosaga, but from what I gather, it's very much my kind of RPG.  I have not heard all of the Xenosaga soundtrack by any means, but I very much liked what I heard of it, and Yasunori Mitsuda has earned my respect long ago for his work on other games, including Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross.  The thing is that I have come to respect Monolith as much as I have Silicon Knights, even though both developers don't have many games on their list yet.

Regardless of age, Monolith has shown me almost exactly what I want to see in a game, and they show a great amount of talent.  The same can be said about Silicon Knights.

. . . and a US release.

Sorry if I gave the wrong impressions about Xenosaga Ep 1. I still like the game (has one of my favourite battle system next to Grandia & Tales series), but it doesn't stand against Suikoden III or Final Fantasy X.

Note: I also played and enjoyed Xenogears.

I think that even if this game doesn't get a US release, I might just buy it.  My japanese isn't up to it, but I would still want to try and play it anyways.  I really do like Monolith's work, and the brief description of the game sounds VERY good.  (A lot like the story of the two one winged angels in Xenogears...)

Gup, it really pains me to hear that, as I really dislike Final Fantasy X, and Xenosaga is by far my most anticipated game right now...

Fish, you ever hear of copy and paste?  lol.  Seeing you tell us to type it out every time is a little amusing, but I think that the joke has run its course eh?

Very nice screens though.  I especially like the Ice Palace shot...  I feel really blessed with my GameCube right now.
