That would be an awesome game for GBA, would it not?  After playing Tekken Advance, I was convinced that the GBA could really handle the zooming camera and other things.  Oh well it's late....any thoughts?

Oooooh! A REAL gamer. Yes the Samurai Showdown games for GBA would be awesome. I already own all 4 of them so I'm hoping for Samurai Showdown 5, not a remake.

If GBA gets a Samurai Shodown, it'll likely be a port of one of the existing four, which really has me wondering why we haven't seen ports of them yet. SS5 was rumored to be in development years ago, but may have stopped due to SNK's restructuring around that time. On the plus side, we did get the Last Blade series, also horrendously absent from the GBA library.

How could I've forgotten about the Last Blade series.  Good times.....
I'm just trying to keep real gaming spirit alive and not let it dwindle GTA copycats or war simulators.

I do hope they make a Samurai Shodown for the GBA.  The version I want is SS 2.  The best in the series.  Oh, I just picked up Samurai Shodown 3 for the GBC a few weeks ago.  Been looking for this game for the longest.

Actually, it's Super Gameboy.  I first read about this a very long time ago in an EGM issue.  I'm not sure when it came out but it was probably announced when SS3 just came out on the Neo Geo.  I loved the first samurai shodown Gameboy port so I was excited when I heard Takara was making this.  Although, I thought Takara cancelled the game cause it never came out in the US but it did come out in Japan.  Probably in limited quantity but now I finally have it.  The game is similar to the first, super-deform characters but they are bigger and have more moves/specials.

Samurai Spirits Zero!

Just a guess, but going by the last bit of text in the graphic, it looks like it's coming to arcades in September.

Hmmm very interesting. SSZero and SS3 for GB. I must track down the GB version. Oh is SS3 as good as the first SS on GB? I know it's Super Deformed but the GB port was awesome and even includs ending cinemas.

It's a good port.  Very similar to the first and has a storyline and an ending to go along with it. I don't understand it because it's in Japanese.  The characters are actually doubled if you take into account the bust/slash selection.  One of my favorite character Genan didn't make it but they did include my other favorite, Genjuro.  If I had to choose which one was better, I'd still pick the first SS.  Just because it's basically the first best Gameboy fighter beside Raging Fighter.
