OK, this is my first post on the PGC Forums...

Anyway, I want to discuss the sequel to Skies of Arcadia: Legends. This was one of the best RPGs that I have ever played, and by far the best one on GameCube.

I can't wait for the sequel. Sure it will take a few years, but it will be worth the wait.

So post your opinions, your story ideas, etc.

Yes it is one of the best. I have yet to beat it but man! One quick question though, when do you see the "evil" version of the main crew?

I'd like to see a sequel but haven't heard anything about one. Ramirez should be in your crew next time around. Galcian doesn't really die so he could come back. The thing that ticked me is I ran from a lot of battles and didn't know it affected your rating so now I can't get my rating up. Kinda cheap if you ask me, since it doesn't mention this in the booklet. Seems like if you fought every battle the game would take 100 years though. I got 500,000 gold on my current game and nothing to buy, shouldn't there be a sword that costs a million or something. The skull shield move makes the game way to easy, I never used it but there shouldn't be a move that cheap. I'm considering playing through it without using delta shield but I think I need a break from that game for a while.

I spent a lot of time looking for them i thoght you should do something in the town to make them appear but no. Anyway, they appear after you defeat the amazons.

There is no guarantee of anything. Sega is their own company, so if M$ makes them an offer the cant refuse Nintendo will get $@#$. I really hope the sequel if it ever comes out will be for GCN, but only time will tell.

Sega recently made a statement saying that some game that I can't think of the name of could be one of the last GC exclusive games.

Errr... Does Delta Shield block specials? Because I never used it as enemies rarely use spells...

I used Delta Shield a LOT in some of the more challenging boss battles.

But yeah, Sega is looking into making a Skies of Arcadia sequel. Given that they didn't distribute the game properly, I think that the game sold pretty damned good. I know that I will go out and buy it if I ever have money, and if it's in stores when I do. It's STILL #1 on the list of GameCube games I must buy, and it's been there since a long time before it came out. It's just that Sega didn't feel it worth their while to ship any copies to my city of 90,000 people. Go figure.

Anyways, I am seriously going to boycott Sega if they don't make a sequel on a Nintendo system.

WHAT!!!!! You people don't use Delta Shield!!! I guess you'll never beat those cheap bosses that constantly use the death spells(I forgot what they were called) such as Piastol and Ramirez. On a side note, I have to give props to Ramirez with one of the coolest lines ever, "Where there is light . . . there is DARKNESS!!!"

Delta shield, Aika's special move that blocks spells. I used it a lot towards the end. I was saying when I play through the game again I might try not using it to make the game harder.

I think the sequel should have something to do with the lost Black Moon Civilization. Remember in and around the Dark Rift, there were all of those black stones? And the Discovery of the Black Moon Crystal in the Dark Rift. I think the next game should focus on these.

Oh, and you can find the evil crew members, Vize, Anita, and Fiana in Nasrad ONLY if your ranking was daring or higher before you got the Fallen Pirate Ranking. And you might have to beat the Ixa'ness Demons like someone stated above.

Can anyone make a list of rankings from highest to lowest? I just finished the Land of Ice and my ranking was Fallen Pirate. It just sucks that every random battle you run away from drops your ranking...... they need to work on that in the sequel...like they haven't already....go but this game if you haven't already! (PHEW!)

What?! Running from ONE random battle drops you by ONE WHOLE rank?! Is that what you're saying? I wouldn't know; I've never ran away from one single battle.

About the sequel....
I hope they don't come out with a new batch of characters like Lunar did when they released Lunar 2. I hated that. It's like a totally different game when they change the characters.

You have a Fallen Pirate Ranking because Vize is pretending to be you and doing bad stuff. You can fight him (He's a bounty) if you had a Daring Ranking before you got the Fallen Pirate Ranking. He should be in Nasrad if you had that ranking before. And, no, running from one battle does not lower your rank one whole level.

I've played the DC version (played some of the GC version).

Yeah, it's one hell of a game but to bad it just didn't sell.

I really doubt a sequel is in the works, think overworks is going be to busy with it's current projects and I doubt sega's willing to take another loss.

Actually, Overworks said in an interview that they are currently in the development stages of a second Skies of Arcadia, but didn't mention anything else.

I hope they do. The story of Vyse has been played out and finished so new characters should replace him.

lol... that's a big time no-no right there. It's very much against the forum rules... but... if you are talking about free stuff, I looked all over the place for some, and I could only find one shot of Aika, and never in very good quality.
