Welcome to the first ever Don't Say the Magic Word competition!

I'm your host for the game, Khushrenada!

Before the game, I offered all contestants the opportunity to choose one word for the game. 9 of them responded and I choose the remaining 4. Thus, if you don't like the word selection, it is 70% your own fault!

I have chosen the bomb word for the first round and sent my selection to Pokepal148 in the hopes he can keep a secret and to show that my actions in this game are all above board. Can you select a safe word in order to force your opponents to choose the dud word? We're about to find out!

The bomb is Bump... unless of course it's Grunts, of course it could be Khushrenada, although he can be described as an asshat so maybe that's it, or maybe its Pacifist, after all that certainly isn't a word that could be used to describe Khush so maybe he named it after that shitty Password game he did. Of course it could be Prestige but it could also be Quibble but upon seeing me post this he could change it in response. A word Synonymous with response is Reply so maybe thats it. Of course it could be Sonichu, after all like Khush the person who created that webcomic needs to see some Therapists, so it might be one of those two. Of course maybe the word is Vertigo but I highly doubt that's it so we're brought back to Bump...

That lazy khush hasn't even sent me the word for this round.

I only needed you for the first word. The rest of the game the eliminated players decided the word so I and the player who chooses it will know what the bomb word is and thus I already have the second party to verify that I have a specific bomb word chosen and am sticking with it. I'm afraid I've dumped you for a newer model which would be oohhboy.

Well, I had been thinking about a 24 hour rule and then eliminating a player if they hadn't shown up in that time to keep things moving but I decided not to mention it in the rules to see how things went. He was last online before Ceric posted his answer so it's not like he's been here and neglected the game. Eliminating a player also set-ups the conundrum of who choses the next bomb word.

And you think this is bad, Lucariofan99 picks after Evan_B and he probably won't show up until Sunday evening as he is in Australia and is always offline on the weekends as has happened in mafia games. Hopefully, he just picks a dud word right away. Perhaps I'll just have to disallow certain timezones. I do think the game will pick up as more people are eliminated because then the remaining players will know that they will be able to pick sooner. I think the nature of this game would have it be slow at the start and speed up. At this point, I'd say get ready to take the weekend off. Perhaps it is my fault for rushing to start this on a Thursday instead of waiting until Monday next week.

For now, I'm not going to worry too much about it. It sucks waiting, I know. If the waiting seems like it is getting extreme, then I may start having to take action. Right now, I'm letting players have a grace period to see how it plays out.
