Blah my NES Super Mario 3 game will not play on my NES anymore. I have a cleaning kit, but everytime I put the game in and push power, I get a white screen. Anyone know a way to fix this?

What I do when a game stops working is take a piece of VERY lite sandpaper and scuff the brass terminals.

If you are looking for the lazy man's solution, just blow in the cart.  You can also wedge the game down when you insert it into the console, as being pushed down seems to make NES games more reliable.

A bit of rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip and rubbed along the chip on the inside of the cartridge can do it too.

The only things I have to remember my NES are the controller and Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt cartridge.

I bash the crap out of my NES when it refuses to play. Which is all the time. A massive shock to the side of the unit gets things going. Damn that flashing power button.

I find that to fix a ailing NES the best thing to do is to replace the cart connector with one from a game gennie. It works, but you have to do some work.
