Folks have been saying it's been added. Can anyone with the game confirm?

I'm updating my Black Ops 2 now, and this thread on the Call of Duty Community corroborates that it comes down as an update.

They're not giving us this year's game, but they're patching in extra content to the one from two years ago. I don't understand Activision at all. If the game were on the eShop this would have given me the urge to go buy it.

Which is more likely:
- A summer intern had nothing better to do
- The bandwidth opened up from not developing House of CoDs let this get ported by what's left of Treyarch's WiiU team
- We'll get the WiiU announcement of House of CoDs (by said Treyarch WiiU team) in September like always happens

Given how low the anecdotal reports of the sales of the last couple were, I'm not sure why they'd bother doing another one, but if that is what's going on and they're Excitebotting it they'll likely get the same response. I'd buy one on the eShop, but Activision feels strongly enough about making less money and supporting the used game market that they don't want to let me do that.

Speaking of Activision, WHAT IS UP with them? Are they even a big publisher "AAA" anymore? They have only three high profile games in 2014: Call of Duty, Skylanders, and Destiny. Everything else is a licensed title.

All three of those are massive, though. There isn't much this year that's on their level.

Yeah, but a few years ago, they would have had all those plus a Tony Hawk, a Guitar Hero, and a couple more titles from various studios.

Right, and these three are the ones they haven't managed to completely run into the ground yet. I've got a feeling CoD is getting close, though.

They're also the publisher of record for Blizzard's games, so they don't need to release much else. Diablo 3 just crossed 20 million sales, so there you go.

And even though it's declined, World of Warcraft still brings in a ton of cash. Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has publicly said they have no interest in making things they can't annualize. They're all about the big, big stuff.

Nice! I bought BLOPS2 over Ghosts so I am glad to see it getting some support. If a COD does not release this year I wouldn't be devastated. I am half hoping that they turn down the COD releases and only do one for Wii U every few years. With COD on a three year dev cycle now I would like to see the Treyarch team continue to support U with a release every three years.

Though if Activision did pull COD U support then I can see a 3rd party stepping in (like High Voltage Software) and fulfilling the niche with some success. There was The Grinder which I assumed had stalled while they struggled to make the funds.

i wonder if sales were up drastically as soon as toys r us started selling the games for 80% off. I bought the better than ps3/360 version of ghosts and black ops 2 for like 12 bucks when the other versions are at the store new for 59.99. Grabbed mass effect 3 from target while i was at it.

i never would have checked them out if they werent on sale though. Ghosts was great, i got a little bored in black ops II

it started around july 17th. my friends birthday was around that time. i went to buy him one of those sega genesis with the 50 games, but found out those were seasonal(got him arkham asylum instead). I saw wii u games for sale. first 70% off (16), than 80% off. I bought COD ghosts first, than i bought black ops and assassins creed black flag for 80% off (12 each) a week later. I stopped by target, noticed mass effect 3 was on sale for 8 dollars. So i bought that too. I should have posted that in the deals thread, i dont know if its still going on.

Hmmm...maybe I'll have to go looking for games at TRU and Target. No time to play them of course, but I'll have a nice backlog for when I'm done with school.

The Xbone version is $25 apparently. I don't have any Xbone games...maybe I should buy. I've still never played Battlefield 4 (PS4) since the first day I bought it like 8 months ago.

Got the XBone version for $23.70 at Target (Amazon price match) and The Last of Us Remastered. Sorry, Wii U Ghosts players.

A little late but, I'm sure Activision is releasing other titles under other publishers they own.  Much like Blizzard and Activision are now one but Blizzard is still listed as the primary on there games.

Though what they officially claim are monsters.

I like craziness so this map was my fave in the first game. However, I've discovered that Activision's Wii games are still online, so I don't yet have reason to buy a new game.

Well, all of the Call of Duty games at least. I'm not sure what other online games Activision might have released on Wii. The Guitar Hero games I believe are already shut down, which happened across all systems so it was a separate thing.
