Those lucky Japanese get a GameCube color that's more perfect that Platinum.  You need to see this one to believe it.

The Japanese love their Final Fantasy games, and when Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles comes out on August 8, there will no doubt be a huge buzz.  To add to it, Japanese news site Degenki Online revealed that Square and Nintendo will be offering a super-limited edition GameCube/Game Boy Player to celebrate the release of the game.  Take a look at this beauty:

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles GameCube Set

Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you!  That's a Crystal White GameCube, complete with matching controller and Game Boy Player.  Degenki says that this item will be extremely rare, so anyone looking to import may either be out of luck or may need to pay insanely high amounts to get it here in the States.

Crystal Chronicles will be out in North America on November 4, with no white GameCube in sight.

Why didn't they release the GC in all those colours right from the start? Would've shut up the whiners complaining that purple is ugly.

I completely agree.  Next time Nintendo should release like six colours right off the bat so that no one can complain about the colour.  It's a real downer for early adopters when all the "good" colours get released later.  My suggestions for starter colours: black, white, silver, red, blue, green.

Color is in the eye of the beholder. Yet it seems those quirky Japanese love releasing a new special edition color of the GC or GBA when A big name title comes out. Question is: Who are they targetting this to? Obessive gamers with fat wallets or those wanting to buy GC or GBA for that one game? (FF Tatics pearly GBA and Boktai's Black Red GBA with matching coffin for example.)

Maybe because I don't have a lot of money to spend is why  I don't understand this. Do you really need more than one GC or GBA? I don't want to call people friviolous if already have 2 or more GBA's or GC; its your money, you don't need anyone to tell you how spend it.
