Yikes. If the price is anywhere near that, I'll pass since I'm not even sold on the game itself. I mean, I was because of playable Midna, but some subsequent announcements soured me on getting the game at or near its release date.

Additionally, the recent Mario Kart 8 DLC spoiled me. $12 for 16 tracks and some extras was an easy choice. That a bunch of content for a low price in a game I at least like in theory (yet makes me say some truly awful things). Nearly $40 worth of DLC for a game I'm only mildly interested in because it's Zelda is also an easy choice, just not the one Nintendo wants. It would help if Koei Tecmo patched in real split-screen, but that's doubtful.

I am thankful that in-game characters are unlocked for free instead of pulling the bullshit of having us pay for in-game content.
3 adventure maps, 1 scenario, 2 new game modes. I'm interested in the new scenario, less interested in the adventure maps, and I have no idea what to think of the game modes. It'll probably be something like slaughter so many enemies or something.

Nintendo of America has revealed pricing on the Hyrule Warriors DLC:
4 packs of paid DLC are coming to #HyruleWarriors. Buy a season pass for $19.99 & receive a bonus Dark Link costume.

$19.99 is a reasonable price for what I see amounts to an old-school expansion pack. Sad to see Japan continually getting the short end with prices.

A much better price. I still want to try the game first to see how I dig it, but I'm more open to the DLC now.

I blame the publishers. In Japan, it's Tecmo-Koei, who never met a transaction they couldn't micro. The rest of the world has Nintendo, who for the most part are new to this whole thing and actually understand a fair price makes your product more attractive.

$20, from what it looks like, seems to be a fair market price.

Yeah, the DLC stuff is pretty disappointing to see. It seems expensive for what it is, and some of it's releasing so early that it's tough to not question why it isn't in the game already. But to be fair, I wasn't very interested in this game to begin with, as I'm not sure if it's a style of game that I like. I wasn't going to be getting it at launch, and now I'm not sure if I'll even go for it on sale.

Trailer for Cia:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76MAZVdo3OU

Whips, familiars, and lazers.

http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/zelda/update.html

Also some information on the DLC from NeoGAF ( http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=903998 ):
Quote
Additional Scenario: The Black Witch Cia
The story of the Black Witch, Cia that went untold in the original tale.
Chronicles five stories that occur in tandem with the original story, including her meeting with Valga and Wizro as well as her approach on Hyrule Castle.
What is waiting fer her at the end of this tale...

Additional Adventure Map: Master Quest Adventure Map
Adventure mode gets a new challenge-style map.
Adds 'Master Quest' rules from not being able to heal, to not being able to use items.
You can discover Cia, Valga, and Wizro's higher rank weapons as your reward.
There's also other new ranks of weapons as well as 'Master Quest' style rewards to be found.

The first pack includes the Epona weapon for Link and white sorceress costumes for Lana and Cia.

-----
The additional scenario seems to be five missions that don't have any new environments. The new Adventure map is just a new set of challenges to grind. So, if you want to be reductive, most of your DLC money is going towards Epona. The new costumes for Lana and Cia do look nice, though.

Epona is not that impressive. I actually assumed Epona was in the base game already. The rest of the bundle seems pretty good though.

As I play through the game the DLC seems priced well for what you get.  I'm always wary of DLC announced so quickly but there is enough content in the game as sold that I don't feel like I'm being cheated or if something was pulled from the game. If the game wasn't already satisfying on the content front I'd certainly feel differently. So I'll be picking it up the pack as I've been enjoying the game a LOT.

I think Hyrule Warriors has managed to potentially make a musou fan out of me. I'm certainly willing to try out another game like this going forward. That is if one gets release don the Wii U or 3DS going forward or I come across something cheap on the PS3 or PC.

Isn't there one out on the Wii U already from earlier this year? Orochi Warriors or something?

Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper was a launch title for the Wii U in 2012. Also, Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2, a Warriors licensed spin-off, is also available on the Wii U.

Oh, god, nobody warned me that this game was one of those things that if you got addicted to it you could realize it's 5am and you have work tomorrow but just one more weapons run still sounds doable.

Finally picked this up.Are you ever so busy you hold off on buying the game because you know you won't be able to play it for the next several days?

The bombs and the battle with the Sirian Werebull felt fresh for a Warriors game.

Why isn't the map on the Gamepad?
I would've preferred this than just the health of allied officers and your last 3 objectives. Although, now that I think about it I only use the gamepad to switch between items.

I'm playing through this as well. Just unlocked Agitha and Ganondorf. Adventure mode is extremely addicting. I am curious about how the network features work.

I'm finding it suprisingly more difficult than other Warriors games on average. The time crunch is much tighter in the missions.

My kids are playing this a lot which I find mildly surprising. For some reason it has really captured their interest. They hit co-op with the neighbor kid pretty hard this weekend.
I've played about three missions and I really like it. Gotta get back to it, when time permits.

Starting to crank out Lvl 3 weapons for the characters. I also am starting to figure out how Sheik's strong attack works with all of the various combos she can do.
