Anybody who thinks Sonic is for kids deserves a kick in the head. I'm 19 years old and I still love Sonic as much as I loved him 10 years ago when I got a Sega Genesis /w Sonic 2 for Christmas.

Trust me, it doesn't matter what age you are. If you like Sonic the Hedgehog, you and your brother are gonna like this game.

If I consider anything to be kiddy, it would be the constant bombardment of kids on the internet not wanting to play a game that might be kiddy.  Just play the bloody game and stop worrying how cool you are going to look playing it.

Just do us all a favor and read this then show it to all your friends.

I agree.  I don't personally consider any game, as long as they're good and fun, to be "kiddy".   The Sonic Mega Collection gets plenty of play time from this 27 year old.

I really don't understand this whole "kiddy" thing anyway.  Face it, all video games, from Barbie to Grand Theft Auto are "kiddy".  They're games and it goes with the territory.  A far better criteria would be, "Is this game fun?" and "Do I enjoy it?".

A kiddy game is something like Rugrats where everything is so simplified and easy that the game is just mind numbingly boring for anyone over the age of 3.  Sonic is not a kiddy game.  If I don't like a Sonic games it's not because it was designed for kids, but because it sucks (see Sonic Spinball).

Still I'd rent Sonic Adventure DX before buying it.  Sonic doesn't exactly have a great track record with 3D games and if the demo is any indication this port may have some bugs in it.  You won't find the game uninteresting but you might get a little pissed off when you run straight through a wall for no reason.

Why don't we stop trying to categorize games into age groups and just play the ones we think are fun.
