The new GBA-GCN attachment platform.

Nintendo has just released today a peice of technology that works just like the old super game boy for SNES.  I was just wondering if it also emulates what the link cable does with games that are linkable.  EG.  metroid prime and fusion are linkable, for some things.  i was just wondering if this platform can do the same thing.

Nope, sorry- the Gameboy Player cannot act as a link cable. What it basically does is make the Gamecube run as a Gameboy, and supporting link cable functions would require it to run as both a Gamecube and a GBA, which the Gameboy Player can't make it do.

Please don't cross post like this.  I'll have a huge FAQ about the Game Boy Player before the weekend's over.

Hah hah!!  Unfortunately, that big question is one we won't be able to answer right away.  The first thing is to confirm whether Nintendo will even sell replacement discs.  If so, we'll be testing it as soon as we can, but if not, it doesn't really matter if it will work or not.  The feature's basically done now by the way.  Just has to go through editing, and I'm waiting for another article to go up first.
