This actually looks pretty sweet.  Not as good as the 3DS XL cradle that I missed (twice!) but still pretty sweet.

Oh wow!  It's live now - start buying if you have 1500 coins sitting around.

Super expensive... but probably still the coolest prize I've seen from Club Nintendo in a long time.  Sadly I'm only at about the half-way mark for coins so will be forced to pass this time around.

This should have been the platinum prize for the year....

on another note, I think I received the platinum poster award yesterday, better than the alternative of a calendar or a 150pt game download. Thanks Nintendo. [/sincerity]

Agreed: this would've made an excellent platinum prize, and would've been a wonderful compliment for the Mario & Co. statue that was given out a few years ago.

Sounds like you should've picked the CD soundtrack though. Infinitely better than posters, calendar, or super cheap game download.

Ordered.  No questions asked.

Although I really need to get some more Club Nintendo stuff done so I'll have some coins banked...
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

I need 700 more Club Points.... and I only have 3 new games to register
Wii Fit U w/ the Pedometer, SM3DW & WiiParty U... guess I won't be getting it any time soon.

You think Nintendo will take back the Platinum Prize in exchange for 500 Club Points?

I still don't understand the grousing about Club Nintendo rewards. Coins are earned by buying and registering games you already wanted. Were the games that provided hours of entertainment suddenly unworthy because an additional free prize was less than spectacular? And I totally call bullshit on people claiming the time spent on filling out the surveys are not worth the prizes. The surveys take like 45 seconds and no one put a gun to your head. Unless you could have been saving a dying child in that time, I really don't think any of you would have been doing anything that constructive with that time otherwise especially since you've spent even more time whinging about it on the Internet.

Sony and Microsoft don't have a similar program. I'm not saying we should bow and praise Nintendo or throw them a parade; I just find the complaining about an optional program to be unnecessary and ridiculous.

Do want.  Bah, why did I constantly waste coins here or there just because I had them and "nothing good is coming anyways".  I knew something would eventually, damn you shirt, give me back my coins.

I used my coins on a cradle and a bunch of games. So I have no complaints.

I still think they should boost you to 1500 (or just send you the statue) if you get the 5 2013 Year of Luigi games1 and register them all by a certain date. That'd be Luigi's Mansion 2, New Super Luigi U, Mario and Luigi Dream Team, Super Mario 3D World and Dr Luigi.

1 Yes, I'm aware they extended the Year of Luigi into 2014. I give no f**ks about this.
