Last nights episode of AoS was probably the best yet. The Uprising Arc is good so far and this is how AoS should have started out, as far as tone, interconnectivity, character development, and pace.
2 small issues:
why didn't Ward shoot immediately, and why did he let her get close enough to touch him?
If I could rewrite the scene: Ward shoots at Lorelei, but she uses magic to deflect the shot, and then quickly advances on Ward, who stumbles over the "Rooster" and now has his back to the wall, where he is unable to avoid Lorelei's touch. (how much better would that have looked?)
and the sword fight between Sif and Lorelei... Sif looked a bit stiff in the interaction, but it seemed extra quick cut because Lorelei had no sword handling skills. I know it was rehearsed and shot all in the same day, and TV schedules are much tighter than movies, but the fight was obviously below what I expected of Sif.
It was a minor issue. the previous one was more baffling for a seasoned agent to not avoid such contact when they were already warned about it.
May is definitely reporting to Fury. Fury is off grid, May is his inside handler of Coulson, and there will be atleast 5-6 episodes of AoS after The Winter Soldier to sort out what happens with Coulson, Fury & SHIELD.
edit: Promo Trailer for the Marvel Special taking the AoS slot next week
