So, tonight is a big TV watching night for me. While I like to take advantage of cheap ticket Tuesday at the theatre, there's not much of interest to me playing right now so I'll stay in tonight. Perfect time to make a lot of back and forth visits if someone wants to leave their gates open for me.

As well, by my calculations, I just need 10 visits to my town and I have the Gold Hosting badge so maybe someone would be free to do that tonight as well. C'mon NWR. We can do it!

Something I'll mention but I doubt we'll get to tonight is that when we've done these visits in the past, I always seem to get disconnected on the 22 visit. Yet, when I've host people in my town, I've had some make 30 visits with no issue. I wonder why you have that limit at that number.

Free space on my SD card? Maybe there is data written to the memory while it is running like that in multiplayer mode but they didn't expect people to play like we do and so they didn't build some limiter to keep an error from occurring.

I'm half tempted to delete some demos to see if it increases my visit limit.

Maybe but my memory is close to full on my 3DS and yet I've had longer back and forth visit strings.

As it turns out, I'm actually now making my 14th visit so maybe I will make it to that 22 mark yet.

Sorry, I blame the wife. She saw it sitting open and closed the game while I was asleep.

I think because I was actually active for a while it kept from crashing right away. I suspect it has to do with me being inactive while you visit.

Actually, when I saw your message that you were just leaving it open, I kept going until it crashed on my 33rd visit. I just posted about the 25th visit since I thought you might still be around and because my predicted error failed to happen.

So, who wants to open their gates for me to revisit their town over and over today? I'm 7 trips away from the silver badge so I'd like to pick that up and then begin to chip away at that gold badge number.

I just realized that when I get a N3DS I could possibly just leave my old system running in AC 24/7 (minus those reboot times). Make it a persistent online server of sorts. Problem is my game is digital. I'll ask my sister if her's is a physical copy and see if she'll let me borrow it. Then you could come whenever you wanted. Could even be a trading post of sorts. People leaving and taking what they need. I'll talk to her today about it.

UncleBob had an idea similar to this but I don't think he ever really enacted it much. A big problem is that you can only have people who's Friend Codes you've entered into your 3DS over. Then there is the need to check the connection all the time in case it fails and you need to reopen the gates. I got 257 trips to make still. That could be a big boost to anyone else who wants a gold hosting badge. If I keep making my visits with you, you'll be even closer since you are at like 133 visitors now yourself. You'll be about 110 visitors away from a gold badge if I stick with you.

I figure I would check the connection once or twice a day and refresh it if it glitched out. If it went down and I was gone then not much could be done. People could easily just request me to add them to the 3DS friend code list to gain access.

So, I've made 72 trips. That gives me a total of 315 trips made. I've got the silver trip badge now. I'm taking a break to do a few other things and then I'm going to pop in a movie and make some more visits if you want to leave or reopen your gates.

Man, after the problems we had a month ago with connections, I'm loving the problem free visits we are having now. This is how I had hoped things would be to get this badge before. 185 more trips to go. It's going to be a while.
