He's been playing the turnip market for ages. We had a good run a while back involving some loop holes and thankfully the towns of AC do not believe in a capital gains tax. I'm a deca-millionaire in the game as well. Wonder how my interest has been doing...

Interest sucks. You only get a max amount of 99,999 bells per month when you hit a certain point. I was hoping I would get a whole lot more.

I've now gone through half of that due to the insane housing costs of Xanadu's red-hot market.Some of it was used for conspicuous consumption. (That's how I was able to acquire the 7-11 set.) At some point, I will use it up to fund some vanity projects throughout town to try and make a legacy for myself.
 
I'm surprised you want the money, Oblivion. I didn't even know you were still playing this game. What do you want it for?

I was mostly kidding. I ended up restarting the game when I began to realize that Animal Crossing just isn't for me. Since it was a gift, it isn't that big of a deal.

Nuts. I'd like to know when people are going to reset the game as there are some items that I'd ask them to help me get to save some time. Right now I'm pestering Unclebob since he posted that he has a copy he isn't really using to see if he can help me with a few things. If anyone else is reading this and thinking of resetting, let me know.

Man, Club Tortimer is bumming me out! I've been making regular visits to it in my game from the in-game date of somewhere in January to now May and there are still some Club Tortimer islands I've yet to see along with regular island items. 1,000's and 1,000's of bells per trip and nothing.

I've got plenty of medals too and I have nothing for which to use them. Thus, if someone is travelling to the island and sees one of these items or wants to sell them to me, I'd be very interested in order to quit having to waste my time with useless island trips. What I'm still looking for:

Cabana Flooring (Love this one. Have had the whole Cabana set for ages except this peice. I even got the Tropical floor and wall before it. You'd think it would come up more but all the island merchants want to push is the Mermaid floor.)

Blue Diving Suit (It doesn't count for anything in the catalogue but I've ended up buying all the other color diving suits anyways just since I could and this is the only one I'm missing.)

Oh yeah, so last night, went to the Island and got the Blue Wetsuit. So, I've now got all colors of wetsuits but can't get those furniture items. Maybe if they sold more than one peice of furniture at a time, they'd pop up more........

There was a carpet on one of my visits but it was the Mermaid carpet of course. *cue Sideshow Bob grumble after stepping on a rake*

Man, the month of May has to be one of the most boring in Animal Crossing's world. I suppose depending on when a player started, it could be interesting but I have all Gracie Sales items so I'm waiting until June 1st when the new Summer stock comes in. No new bugs, no new deep sea creatures. There are 2 new fish that appear. No holidays. There's a fishing tourney but I've won all trophies and got all prizes. I'm so tempted to skip the month but I'm hoping to find 4 spring shirts and need to keep doing some chores for badges so I won't. It's just weird that they pack so much into April, June, July, August and even September but May gets shafted like this.

I recently got the Tatami from Saharah so don't worry about having to dupe that. We now both just need the Music Room Floor. You have a bunch of Saharah Wallpaper that we need to dupe and you have the sloppy floor and two cardboard pieces. Are you looking for Golden Furniture by the way?

I haven't played since last weekend, so I have a bit of catching up to do. I'll check out the island as I work through the days to see if I can find any of that stuff (I have the sanshin though). I had a few shirts for you but you've got them all now haha.

I still need a couple of the golden pieces, yes. The Golden Screen and the Golden Wall Torch. I'll get the 2 Cardboard, Sloppy, Sahara, and the Sanshin out for duping. Am I forgetting anything...? I'll see if I have any other interesting things.

Well, I finally got a Golden Wall Torch, I can get it out for duping. I had a duplicate of practically everything else but you seem to be in the same boat as me. I don't think you are forgetting anything. I've got a potential deal in place for the Blue Ogre Mask, Berliner, Cucumber Horse, Eggplant Cow, Yut Board and Yule Log items. Hopefully, it goes through. So, I may have some more rare stuff by tomorrow.

Good news, Dan. I just got the Garden Wall from Saharah. Almost finished with that crazy camel.

Unfortunately, I still do not have a golden screen. Cyrus has made me another golden chair and clock. So now I am going to wait until Katrina gives me a good fortune on items and see if that makes a difference.

Hey Dan!

I just remembered. Benjamin is moving out of my town and he is a rare character who has sloppy set furniture. He has the sloppy bed and sloppy sink. If you want to ask him to move to your town, you should visit me and we'll try it. He no longer had any sloppy furniture in my town. I had read that if you gift him suff, he may then put his stuff up for sale in Re-Tail or send it to you in a gift. So, I gave him stuff and it never happened. He just ended up replacing his sloppy stuff with my furniture gifts. I did get two pieces of the set from him though by having him invite me to his place and then he offered to let me take an item home. Perhaps you can get the bed and sink that way.

The only problem is that I wasn't think and just did a quick trade this morning at 1:30 am game time so now he could be sleeping and you may not be able to talk to him. Anyways, let me know if you are interested in persuing this idea as soon as you can as I'm looking to just keep moving forward in my catch-up.

Now considering that you yourself claim to have around 60,000,000 bells I think it's time to talk numbers. Now normally at retail this thing goes for like 600-something bells but just for you I'm willing to part with this little piece for a bargain at 5,000,000 bells.

You are free to charge any price you want but that doesn't mean I will accept the offer. The only reason I don't have those gyroids yet is because I haven't gone through the pile of gyroids I do have. Once I do that and find the duplicates, I can probably offer the duplicates for trade to get those remaining 9. (I do use other sites besides this one for trading.) Plus, a lot of times people just give gyroids for free or for a very small fee. Thus, with your market value completely out of whack, I will pass on that offer.

I've been more concerned with building my town and making it look nice then with my house.

Right now I have the cafe with a perfect placement setup so it's overlooking the ocean but the bridge I had already built won't work well there because of that cafe placement given that the paths I have in town would start to get weirdly set up so I have to finish funding the cafe, demolish the bridge, and then build a new one that's literally one space over.

I just finished farming for beetles in order to pay for the cafe so now I'm going to try and snag a scorpion and tarantula

Wow 1 more Sahara item to go! I haven't tried making any more gold furniture yet. I don't have anything new to add :/ Visiting the island every day makes going through the days much longer...

What do you find are good tours to play for medals on the island? I can often get 20 medals out of the Giant Dragonfly tour.
