It would certainly save some money if I just bought from a list. Though I would also need to figure out what I need for my catalogue, and that could take a while...

At this point lists would be better. Where are you getting your lists from? I'll try and work on mine this weekend if work is slow.

I'm pretty sure I took most of my lists from Thonky. Recently, I went through some of them against a Gamefaqs listing which further helped straighten things out. I've also added items to the lists that I've bought that weren't on it. I'll post an example of what I've got. Let's look at umbrellas:

Name                        Source
Bat Umbrella              Labelle
Beach Umbrella          Labelle
Blue Umbrella            Labelle
Blue-Dot Umbrella      Labelle
Busted Umbrella          Labelle
Camo Umbrella          Labelle
Candy Umbrella          Labelle
Daisy Umbrella           Labelle
Eggy Parasol               Labelle
Elegant Umbrella        Gracie
Flame Umbrella          Labelle
Forest Umbrella         Labelle
Gelato Umbrella         Labelle
Ghost Umbrella          Labelle
Gracie Umbrella         Gracie
Green Umbrella          Labelle
Lacy Parasol               Labelle
Leaf Umbrella             Labelle
Lemon Umbrella         Labelle
Leopard Umbrella        Labelle
Maple Umbrella         Labelle
Melon Umbrella         Labelle
Mint Umbrella            Labelle
Modern Umbrella         Gracie
Paper Parasol                Labelle
Paw Umbrella                Labelle
Peach's Parasol             Cookie
Petal Parasol                  Gracie
Picnic Umbrella             Labelle
Red Umbrella                Labelle
Ribbon Umbrella          Labelle
Spider Umbrella           Labelle
Sunny Umbrella            Labelle
Toad Parasol                  Labelle
Yellow Umbrella           Labelle
Zebra Umbrella             Labelle

I've copied this list from my spreadsheet. Anything in my catalogue is in Red. Black means I haven't acquired it yet. The purple refers to rare items/items from a special source like Gracie or the Island and can not be bought from the catalogue for delivery. Aqua refers to a rare item I like that which I own. As you can see, there are 9 umbrellas I still need for the catalogue and 4 of them are from a special source.

Now, I can make things more concise by only posting what I still need but if you are looking to compare lists, I can post more as well. We could post what we already have so that if we see something not on this list that was missed by the sources I got it from, we just buy it. We can post if we buy an item that is missing so that the others know it has been found and don't have to buy it if it comes up after for them. I can update the original post to help out with this. I bring it up now to help us get a handle on it because I'm pretty sure it is over 2,000 items in the catalogue.

Urgh. I'll fight the rest of the forum's formatting tomorrow. That will be the biggest obstacle. Copying the text in a readable format. Maybe I should try putting it in a word document and then copying it from there.

Sorry I was out this weekend. I had a busy time at my job since I had to track those huge storms in Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and the surrounding area. On the plus side, before that happened I noticed I could connect to the company wi-fi with my 3DS. Was pleasantly surprised. I will test some more again next weekend assuming mother nature is no longer on her 'time of the month'.

Oh man. That is so so terrible. I'm really sorry for you. I hope it was least from natural causes and not an accident or something. Last time I had a cat was 10 years ago. Had to give it up because we moved to a place that wouldn't allow pets. After that, I swore that it was and no more pets for me. It was just to hard to lose them after getting attached to them. People know I like cats too and so I get offered them all the time and, while tempting, I still say no and just enjoy them when I visit people or on the internet. I still miss my cat and that was 10 years ago so I totally get not wanting to really do much right now. Again, my sympathy for your loss.

So, we ever meeting up again? Because I've got a new ocean of stuff for you all. Also, did you still need a Majora's Mask Stratos? I've got an extra one right now.

According to my calculations, I'm about 200 hundred items away from 50% of the catalog complete. With all of you still buying stuff hopefully, maybe you will have that amount already. I know I've probably got over 100 items waiting for you.

Let me know what your plans are.

I'm sorry for the delay. I will try to get back to my game some night this week, and I'll check my catalogue and see if I can figure out the items I have and the ones I need.

I'm still not sure what the best way to post such a list is, though. There are so many items that it would result in some huge forum posts. Maybe we could make some sort of Google document or something? We could enter in every item, and then we could name who has what?

If you are looking for a list of all the items needed in the catalogue, this is the source that has it: http://www.gamefaqs.com/3ds/997811-animal-crossing-new-leaf/faqs/67453

I've been going through it and comparing it to my lists to remove errors and such but it will be a while. That said, when I've finally updated my spreadsheet, I could pass it on to you both and you could use it to compare against your own records.

That would be very helpful. I'm mostly relying on memory right now. I tend to remember when I have previously come across an item.

I finally got Gracie to build her store. That should unlock a lot of untapped items. I'm still playing catch up in the game. But I can finally toss all of the extra clothing items instead of leaving them around for her fashion checks.

Do we want to meet up some time tomorrow?

Oh sweet. That is something I am still working towards. Unfortunately, my first Gracie fashion check was modern. Turns out, despite the sea of items we joked about me having, I did not have enough modern items. Looking it up on Thonky, I found most of the modern items were Gracie only items also. Well, isn't that handy? So, I got screwed over by that one and haven't seen her since. But yes, for a lot of clothing items, I've gotten to the point where it is just about Gracie only items I need. For carpeting and wallpaper, I'm more bugged about Savanah. There are a lot of Savanah only items but each time I pay her (or him?) to do my pad, I just get things I've already got from Nooklings before.

On the spreadsheet project, I've just about got every list correctly written up. I'm doing shirts (tops) right now and then it is just the big list of furniture left. According to my list, I only need to acquire about 100 new items or so to hit the 50% of the catalogue. If that is the case for me, we should all be getting close to it then.

A meet-up tomorrow should work fine for me as long as it is in the evening. Will I get my Rococo furniture back? Also, I've got 10 layouts of clothing for each type of fashion check now so that I could sell off all my extra clothing. That's how I'm doing it. I'm just waiting for re-tail to pay extra for the items. So far, there have been two days where Reese paid extra for selling shirts that day but nothing else.

Also, some items I am still on the lookout for.

Still need the Diplo skull fossil. Can't believe over two months of regularly assessing fossils that it still has yet to appear.

On Nintendo items, I bought two fortune cookies yesterday and got two Yoshi Eg(g)s which is alright since I hadn't gotten one yet but just weird that I would get two at the same time. That just leaves Triple Bananas and Super Star.

Also, I've yet to acquire a Mush Table when picking mushrooms. Any of you have an extra? Also, if either of you are building golden furniture would you have a duplicate piece you want to trade? Cyrus has made me two golden chairs and I'd be willing to trade one if I can get a different piece of furniture in its place.

Just some of the items I am on the hunt for.

I have been looking for the Diplo skull for you and nothing from me. Hopefully I'll get one over the next game week (I should be fully caught up to today tomorrow if work is slow).

I've just been dropping my mush stuff so I don't know what I have. I'll have to browse my catalog.

I had a spare golden dresser. But I'm not sure what has happened to it. If you are not keeping them I am looking to use them in my house if someone is willing to donate/sell theirs instead of selling them at Re-Tail.

Is there a way to control what Savanah gives you? I know (s)he says that (s)he decorates based on what (s)he thinks your house theme is. Maybe that has some say on the flooring?

I was wondering if furniture would have a bearing on what Savanah puts up. I should look into that further. I'm planning on keeping my golden furniture. I've also been refurbishing items with ore. I want a gem studded place. There's a bunch of other items that can be customized with gold so once I have the golden furniture, I'll add those as well. I plan to live in the greatest luxury while my citizens live like animals from my having drained the town of all its resources. It's good to be mayor. I'll be the Goldfinger of Animal Crossing. I love only gold.

I do not have a golden dresser so if you want to do a swap for a chair, I'd be up for it.

I just got a gold table from the alpaca. I can't find my spare dresser so I'm worried I sold it or lost it to another player.

And... I just got your diplo skull! It's about time. Should be able to see the finished product of the Department store soon and reap the benefits of those items.

So Gracie stuff is exorbitantly priced. More so than I remember it being in the past game. The clothes are not so bad, but the furniture is starting at 90k a piece. I'm going to need help purchasing this stuff. I don't want most of it to keep so anyone who chips in can keep the furniture after our exchanges. I've started a new pile of items exclusive to Gracie in the south east part of my town.

I only have 1.15 million in bells stashed away so that is going to go fast at this rate.

~Ouch! Went from 1,150,000 to 400,000 to clean out her shop on day one.

~~I also got that mush table and triple bananas for you too.

Sorry about that. My turn to not show up I guess. I helped someone move yesterday and when I got home and laid down on the couch and fell asleep. When I woke up, I just went straight to bed, feeling exhausted, and kept on sleeping. Woke up this morning remembering how I was supposed to have met up with you. My apologies on that.

You are coming through with those items though so thanks for that. I can help you cover some cost for the Gracie items. Yes they will be very expensive. From the lists I've been making, her furniture is like an average of 200,000 bells per piece and clothing is about 5,000 bells per piece. It should help though in getting the shopper badge of spending a lot of money in stores. I recently bought the crown which was a 1,000,000 bells so when we meet, you'll be able to add that to your catalogue without having to pay for it. That said, I am interested in the Gracie stuff so I might buy it off you. I just have nowhere to put it right now.

Well, now that I'm rested, let me know if there is another time that works for you and I should be able to stay awake to meet up. We'll get this club back on track yet.
