Not with MotionPlus. Not with Miiverse. Not with online play.

You even get to try all of it out before bitching about not buying it.

It all boils down to whether you think the online stuff(multiplayer, clubs, miiverse), hd, and motion plus upgrade is worth the 10 dollars for each game. For me it's only worth it for bowling, tennis and maybe golf.

I know this is just a desperation move, but I think it could be a good idea. What I'm not sure of is being digital-only, especially since Nintendo don't have the greatest track record of advertising anything digital. I feel like having a retail case on store shelves is the best way to reach the audience for this... but I could be wrong. We'll see how it works out.

For me, no interest in it.

Once all five titles are converted, I suspect we'll see a retail release.

And Nintendo is crazy if they don't make this a pack-in at some point.

I like the idea, I will be buying Tennis and Bowling when they come out. I agree though that Nintendo should probably have got them all done and also released a disk version. Although, if they are also planning another sequel to Wii Sports, it could dilute the impact of that new game.

I don't get the hate.  Nintendo likely spends minimal resources making a superior version of one of their THE best selling games of all time, adding in a major feature that everyone wanted.

Instead of "Meh, doesn't interest me" we get the "OH-EM-GEE NINTENDO DOESN'T GET IT WHY DO THEY HATE ME AND LIFE AND HAPPYNESS?!?"

Look, this might not be your cup of tea (I'm *interested*, but probably not a day-one purchase for me), but it's a good idea and will probably help move a few units with little investment.

I honestly think they're preparing bubdles with Wii Sports Clib pre-installed. And you kmow what, i even think with this push into digital they're doing lately they can easily make cheapo Wii U Lite without disc drive simply with this. All of their games and majority of third parties' games (however little) are on eShop anyway.

I have no issues with this existing. In fact, I think it's a good idea to rerelease the games (though I always prefer physical copies and I believe one is coming eventually). My only issues are that they're late and they're expensive. At $10 per game, I'm simply going to respond like I always do with things beyond my price range: by not buying them. I wouldn't even pay $10 for Earthbound.

They should make this and all future Wii Sports/Resort/Play/Motion/etc. conversion all an expansion of Nintendo Land. As in accessible within the Nintendoland park (And Nintendo Land should download to the internal mem while getting the same online upgrades. - a reimagining of the Animal Crossing UI we all imagined might happen years ago)

I'm also in the "this should have come out way sooner and much cheaper" camp, but I also want to take it a step further. If Nintendo plans on doing all the sports eventually, then they should have a limited time launch bundle where you pre-buy them all (all 5 Wii Sports titles) for the low price $34.99 and get them whenever they release. Otherwise you buy the titles a-la-carte @ $9.99ea.

Like a Season Pass? That's not a bad idea. It's still a little more than what I'd like to pay for, but I definitely think it's fairer.

I have been wishing for this ever since Wiisports was released.  I am a huge fan of WiiSports golf and I will be all over that when they eventually put that out.  Here's hoping for some more courses though, 9 holes is definitely not enough.

Judging by WAY too many comments above, people do not want Nintendo to make online games.

NWR, let them know this. Online is apparently very bad. Local multiplayer only.

My gosh people, stop being a bunch of negative Nancies. If you don't them, don't buy em. I for one would love to play more games with those of you who want to play online. Wii Sports is perfect for that. I'll get $10 worth of gameplay out of these game. I'm buying all 5 - I do hope its like those 3DS streetpass things where maybe if we buy the first 4, we get the 5th free.

I hope it adds more options to the gamepłay
Tennis allowing me to control movement of my mii would be a huge and ability to limit bowling matches to a few rounds. I hope they do have some kind of game pad features and options .

Boxing club gonna be a sad, lonely place.

I'm not into online games, at all, but I actually like this club framing, and could imagine myself participating in a bowling league, which for me is saying quite a lot.

I also normally hate F2P style content structuring, but it makes a lot of sense in this case. I would not want to drop money on golf, baseball, or boxing.

How the heck did you come to this conclusion? No one said, "Ew, no! No online please."

Personally, I may not play online games often, but I like that it's a thing and I think all multiplayer games should have it as an option. However, I'm not buying a game just for it. I think most people's issue is the price, not that Nintendo included online multiplayer. In fact, I don't think anyone is bemoan that. At all.

People complaining about this sound like bitter, bitter old men. $10 each for one of the most fun multiplayer games of last gen with online functionality and Miiverse sounds great.

Try before you buy? Awesome!

Want to rent games at a rediculously low price for only when family and friends are over for things like holidays and parties?
We got you covered.

Think this whole thing is a scam/too expensive, but you still want to experience WiiSports? Pull out your old copy and play the game in Wii mode on your WiiU for free.

I see nothing but good options for all.

It sounds good but and this is pretty progressive from Nintendo but I was expecting this to be a retail title. Regardless I expect this to do pretty well. This is pretty much the model I wanted Nintendoland to follow.

My only real issue with this is existing is that it is F2P which I do not want Nintendo to succeed with because it will then inspire them to use that model for other titles.  I think the whole concept is a rip-off and that it's success will ruin the videogame industry.  So it is in my best interest that this flops hard for Nintendo so as to discourage them from doing it again.

The dystopian future of videogames is microtransactions, paying to win, locked out used games, always-online checks, and outright removal of consumer ownership.  I want anything that would encourage these things to fail miserably.  This Wii Sports thing isn't even a particularly bad model of F2P (ie: you don't pay money to get better at tennis) but it is overpriced and I don't want Nintendo in the future selling Zelda for $100 by charging me per dungeon.  Better that they decide this piecemeal concept is not worth pursuing.

Is this free to play? I thought the options were $2 for a 24-pass and $10 to buy. I don't really understand why the former even exists, but if someone only wants to play the game four times max forever before wasting money, more power to them.

I kinda like 2$ for one day option. It totally makes sense. If i only get to gather my family/friends just a few times a year it totally makes more sense just to pay 2 bucks to play ALL the games in Wii Sports Club rather than splurge full 50$ price only to play them once or twice.

It will make more sense when more games will be available i think.

For me the $2 option makes sense too. I've played console games online lifetime total 8 times. Max number using a single title 3. Therefore, as long as I don't play online way more with this game than I have any other game I can pay $2 when someone calls me up and says let's play wii bowling online and other than that if I want to play wii bowling with people at my house (this is much more likely for me) I'll turn on wii mode and pop in the old wii disc.

I also see the $10 option appealing to other people cause a lot of people play games on like daily I'm just not one of them and I wanted to show everyone that the $2 rental is appealing to some people like me.

Then take some time to read the posts before jumping to fanboy defense mode.

Nintendo likely spends minimal resources
...And charges a huge premium. There's a clue as to why some people might not think this is so great.

"OH-EM-GEE NINTENDO DOESN'T GET IT WHY DO THEY HATE ME AND LIFE AND HAPPYNESS?!?"
There's nothing like using hyperbole and overstatement to make a point when honesty and merit wont do.

The correct path for Nintendo would have been an HD polished, spruced up version of Wii Sports & Wii Sports resorts combined at retail for $29.99 and digital for $19.99.  $9.99 per mini game? lol Nintendo be honest, are you even trying anymore? Satoru Iwata is beginning to remind me of Max Bialystock from The Producers.
