Buy two Kirby SNES games and get the third for free, and here's how!

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/blog/34316

Nintendo surprised gamers this morning by not only putting Kirby Superstar, Kirby's Dream Course, and Kirby's Dream Land 3 on the Wii U eShop, but also by revealing a deal that allows you to get one of them for free, if you buy the other two! How does this deal work? Fairly simple, actually.

The great thing about this deal is that it's valid whether you're purchasing the game for the first time, or upgrading your Wii Virtual Console purchases. Depending on whether or not you purchased the games previously, you can get all three titles for $15.98, $9.49, or a measly $3!

For example, I already owned Kirby Super Star on the Wii Virtual Console, but not Kirby's Dream Course or Kirby's Dream Land 3. So I went to the special promotion page on the eShop, bought Kirby Super Star for $1.50, and then Kirby's Dream Course for $7.99. When returning to the promotion page, or just going right to the info page for Kirby's Dream Land 3, it shows me that the game is downloadable for free!

As someone who's been critical of the way Nintendo prices some of their Virtual Console titles, I'm glad to see this initiative of making things a bit more affordable for gamers. Let's hope they keep deals like this up in the future!

That's AWESOME!!! Thanks for the head's up!
Makes me with I would have picked up Kirby Super Star for free through Club Nintendo a few months back!

Well i'm updating my Wii VC faster than I thought. Glad to get these for a reduced price.

I remember wanting Kirby's Dream Course so badly as a kid but had to choose between it and something else and then ultimately forgot about it. The time is now I suppose.
Nintendo players and One Piece readers, just better people.

Dream course is awesome, but ever so difficult. I've never come close to beating it.

This'll save me $1.50, since I was already planning on upgrading all three of them.

To further elaborate on Curt's point, it turns out I'd never bought Dream Land 3, but had Dream Course and Super Star. I bought the two updates for the ones I had, and sure enough, Dream Land 3 switched from $7.99 to Free. They haven't restricted anything with this promotion. So be careful which order you do them in, because the third one's free regardless of the prices of them.

I bought two of the games through the Wii Menu with some of my many left over points, paid the $1.50 to upgrade both of them and then the third showed up as free.

Sure, I paid $3 more this way, but I got to use some of my Wii Points that were just sitting there doing nothing (that I paid less than face value for anyway) and, if it works out like I think it should, I should get the 10 Club Nintendo coins for the Wii purchase, then 10 more for the Wii U upgrade. :D
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

Don't forget the 15 points for each game through the Digital Deluxe Promotion. LOL
