Is the game on the Wii U? If not, then it needs to be ported to the Wii U. It needs more third party games.

It's not. The developer who created it has only made that game (as far as my 10 second Google search told me) so I doubt they have the resources to go back to the game and port it. They are concentrating on a PS4 game, though.

Developer(s). One studio did the single player, another did the multiplayer. Yager Development (who did the singleplayer) also made a 2003 PC game called Yager. According to their website, Darkside Game Studios (who did the multiplayer) have worked on various games like XCOM: Enemy Unknown. BioShock 2, and the Claptrap's New Robot Revolution DLC for Borderlands.

Yagar didn't want the multiplayer in the game so I don't even consider the other developer. I guess Darkside could do the port but who knows if they'd want to regardless?

Having multiplayer in the game takes away from the message of the game so I pretend it doesn't exist. :P

Oh hey what a coincidence, we talked about this game during the Famicast recording yesterday and also I have a full playthrough on my livestream. You should definitely get it if either you like weird subversive storylines or if it's less than 20 bucks. I think it's 15 on steam actually!

Could you link to that Famicast? I'm interested to what you guys had to say.

Assuming you don't live in the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, or Lebanon, where the game is banned (even on Steam and PSN). LOL

Why is it banned? Did they miss the whole point of the game?

Banned video games are the best kind. That's why Al Gore invented proxies: so you can enjoy a fun game where you brutally execute wounded US soldiers. SUBVERSIVE!!

Apparently it's because Doha (the capital of nearbye Qatar) is depicted in ruins in the game. So the UAE's National Medica Council banned the game (in the UAE and nearbye countries), blocked the game's website, made it illegal for other countries to ship the game to people who buy it online, and also banned the online sale of the games (Valve doesn't offer it on that region's version of Steam and Sony doesn't have it on PSN there).

No, I don't think I do. It's $40 on PSN & $30 new at GameStop. I've only had a passing interest in that game, and I really don't feel like paying that for a modern military shooter that I've heard has a decent story but incredibly mediocre gameplay.  If it goes on sale on PSN one week for $20, maybe then. Otherwise, I have more than enough games to play right now, and probably all of them are better than Spec Ops: The Line.

Ah, it just isn't an NWR thread without Broodwars being cynical and negative about everything. :)

Nor would it be an NWR forum without me wanting a game ported to the Wii U.

Well, it seems my decision to not pay for the game has paid off, because Sony's making the game free for North American PS+ owners on Tuesday as part of the Instant Games Collection.

Sure, I'll play it now, though it's going to be sitting in my backlog for a while.

I got it in the 50€ pack along with Darkness 2 and Civ 5 (and some other games I didn't care about) about one month after it came out. PC, f'yeah!

Yeah, PC gaming is awesome.  After about 10 years away from PCs, I finally jumped back in and built a rig in August.  I grabbed this game during a Steam sale for some absurdly low price.  The game is entirely competent, but for some reason just never grabbed me the way I was expecting.  I'm probably about 40% through the game, and I probably couldn't recall any of the finer points of the story.  Every now and then I feel the urge to go back and revisit the game, but there are just so many shinies, so little time!
