Who do you enjoy reading...
« on: May 31, 2003, 09:07:50 PM »
...or look forward to bashing here on these forums?  I know theres certain people i look forward to responding to , because they annoy me, so i give them an extra dose of sarcasm,.  But theres also a couple of people who i agree with a lot, and enjoy jumping to their aid.   Lets face facts, we all want our point of veiw out there, so give me a few names of the best and worst you 'deal' with on these forums.  I'll give mine after a few are already out there.....but mentioning me as your favorite will save you from my venomous wrath.....and wrath it shall be....

I think this thread will be blocked.
Saying who's posts you like and don't like reading would form this massive gang bashing, and that would be a bit of worry, to the people who's posts nobody likes. I'm sorry to say, but it's like school. People come here to express themselves (or in PGC terms, bitch about anything). So saying that you don't like their posts will just discourage them from using the forums, much like bullies would discourage them from going to school.

I'm not saying anyone's my fave or not. It would just form negative opinions and what not.
I am neutral with everyone.

That said, there is the odd poster who just says something that everyone just agrees is plain stupid. What happens to them is up to the mods, not us.

Bash, a lot of the guys that posted a lot before that I liked to read have gone. Carl, Gak, Marcus left a while ago. As for people now I read, there are just way too many of ya'll to list.

There's too many people here I like to list them all, and there really isn't anyone who I enjoy bashing (I used to like going toe-to-toe with ymeegod, but he's actually a good guy).

Interesting thing, though, if you do a user search for "mouse clicker", you'll find not only my name but the name of someone called "Mouse Clicker Flicker". I'm not sure if this is just a coincidence or if I've gain an arch nemesis, but it is pretty weird.

Termin8anakin, mouse clicker, Gibdo Master,Grey Ninja, Piac - i know i'll read their thread when one pops up...theres a few others as well, but i cant recall...as for bashing, thats a little harsh, but i suppose i meant who do you just know you're going to be debating with?

Well thanks Omen and PIAC.    Nice to know that not ALL of my posts are blatant spam.

The people around here who convinced me that this forum might be worth my time are far too numerous to mention, and I am afraid of leaving someone out who deserves to be on the list.  I just appreciate the general cool-headedness around here.  I really appreciate those who speak with reason and logic.

I don't really know anyone around here who seriously bothers me and I don't look forward to reading their posts.  I suppose that I will develop enemies in time (I always do), but I always try to be courteous with everyone.

The threads around here that I do enjoy though are the more lighthearted ones, such as hyping a game that I am into, or even a simple joke.  I also enjoy the ones where I can offer some constructive advice, or I can have a good in-depth debate about something important to me.

The ones that I don't enjoy are the spamming ones of course, the ones where Nintendo's every move is criticized, or the ones that obsess over sales.  I still read them from time to time, but I don't generally participate in threads that don't have a title that draws me in, and has no content that I can provide intelligent comment on.

There was this guy Jirachi that everyone loved to debate with.
His commments were pretty much Xbox biased, but it was a shame he had to resort to plain old cussing toward Mario, and he got banned.
Maybe he's here under a new name.

There used to be a whole bunch of guys I looked forward to reading their posts but for whatever reason pretty much all of them have disappeared.  Right now the only people who's posts I really look out for are staff members because usually they have something relevant to say and they know some things we don't know.  Of course sometimes all they write is "movin' this to general chat".

Well I'm glad to see I'm not on the bad list yet.

Off hand, people I like talking to are (in no particular order) mouseclicker, PIAC, Grey Ninja, Bill, Termin8anakin. . . there's another guy, maybe Gamefreak.  I have a hard time remembering these aliases.  There are quite a few.  Oh, and of course Bloodworth, Rick, all them.

I want one, definitely!

But I like grrrls. Grrrls are nice. They are nice and curvy, like the way the road bends and stuff. e They're nice especially when they take some things off....like their shoes, their shirt, their skirt, and....

their wig?

Hmmm... I might be, but I already constructed myself a paper one when I was waiting for the GameCube to come out, and I still have it.

According ot the XE universal currency converter, 50 yen is equal to a little more than half an Australian dollar (0.641697 Australian dollars).

And 50 yen is closer to 40 cents US, not 50.

I don't need no stinkin online international calculator to tell me the current yen-dollar exchange rate!  I only said it was "like" not "is" or "was" -- ballpark figures people!  For the past 15 years the yen's been going up and down in value, but 50yen and 50cents still yield similar results: it can buy you a cheap can of soda!

But if you wanted to see the exchange between U.S. currency and Hong Kong currency, then cool, use the calculator cuz it's quite crazy, not some simple 40/50, 50/50 mental familiarity, it's like 1US/7HK or something I FORGOT!  I haven't been there in 4 years!

A foam Gamecube would be nice, but my friend made one out of paper or something, so there'd be little point.

The fake one is almost as fun as the real one.  We play all-out, no bars volleyball with it
