So Nintendo released its Q1 game lineup for the Wii U and 3DS.  Have to admit its a bit disappointing especially on the eshop side of things.
I'm wondering where is Mutant Mudds Deluxe,Two Brothers, and Cloudberry Kingdom are. I was also expecting some Wii U eshop software from Nintendo going in to Q1.

I actually am legitimately curious about Lego City Undercover & Rayman Legends on Wii U, as well as Castlevania: LoS - MoF & Luigi's Mansion 2 on 3DS.  I don't know how much time I'll have to devote to them, though. Those two months are just a tad bit crazy for me.

I'm really not sure it was the best idea for Mercury Steam to release a Lords of Shadow Castlevania game the week before the latest God of War game, though.  Some would argue the Lords of Shadow series has a pretty large amount of audience crossover with that Sony franchise.

It's a little depressing for Wii U owners, but the 3DS lineup looks great, especially the pack in March.

Though the strategy of "guns blazing" at E3 might be cooled if any of the delayed games (Pikmin, Wii Fit U, etc.) get screen time at E3. I think Fit and Game & Wario will be April/May, and we'll definitely get a "final" look at Pikmin 3 come E3, even though the game should have been out by then. Shame, but suppose that's what we have to live with.  :-\
This is where I would write something witty or funny if I had any ideas.

I'm looking forward to Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Nano Assault EX, and especially Fire Emblem: Awakening.

I loved Tri on Wii but the lack of online in Ultimate is a deal breaker for me.

Wii U version has Online.  Only the 3DS version, as is with all handheld Monster Hunters by default, doesn't have online play.

Which is great for Wii U owners, but I've decided to hold off on getting a Wii U until I get a good sense of what Sony and Microsoft have up their sleeves for their next generation. There's no good reason (other than complacency and adherence to tradition) that handheld Monster Hunter games couldn't include online multiplayer.

I appreciate that in Japan Monster Hunter is primarilly played locally and an online mode for this game would, therefore, be niche; but I feel in the West online multiplayer for a game like Monster Hunter is pretty much essential (regardless of whether or not it's on a console or a handheld).

Long story short, it's a shame Capcom couldn't find a way to include online multiplayer in the 3DS version because I would have bought it a heartbeat.

I want to get Rayman Legends next month, then Monster Hunter in March. In May/June I'll be getting Darksiders 2 which I'm still very interested in. In between those times I will also download Fist of The North Star Ken's Rage 2 and hopefully The Cave too. Oh, and I'll be getting Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon in March for the 3DS too.

All right, as you can see, I have a lot of work to do in Q1 2013, LOL! :)

Q1 Wii U titles don't seem to be very appealing. Apart from Monster Hunter I wouldn't buy any of those other titles without a few reviews first.

I'm really hoping LEGO City Undercover is well made.  Most LEGO games seem to have glitches that become annoying at least.  But this game looks awesome.

I can't think of a good reason Aliens Wii U shouldn't be day and date with the other platforms.  And who was the genius who scheduled half the games for the third week in March?

edit: I plan on getting Cave, Rayman and Aliens.

Totally agree but, Monster Hunter Tri having online was a compromise.  On the PS3 one they literally built in Adhoc party to do the same thing.  Which is the hack to get it online for the PSP.  Its really silly.

Super incredibly silly because your PS3 had to be connected to the Internet via an ethernet cable while your PSP connected to the PS3 via Wifi, there was no way around it.

Well there was a way around it, but you had to connect your PS3 via ethernet to another computer that had an Internet connection and then bridge the connections in your network settings.

After playing the rayman u demo i can safely say that its a day one purchase, other than that i have some slight interest in monster hunter and need for speed.

I'll definitely be getting Rayman and Need For Speed. Monster Hunter and LEGO City are maybes.

With Monster Hunter my main issue is how simple it is to transfer info between the Wii U and 3DS versions. I wanted Off-TV play and it apparently isn't there, so I may buy both versions of the game (which is likely the reason there's no Off-TV play) and I'm hoping they didn't half-ass that connectivity.

It doesn't seem to be that complicated from the examples shown by Capcom.

Wii U

Aliens: Colonial Marines β€” Q1
Lego City: Undercover β€” March 18
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate β€” March 19
Need For Speed: Most Wanted β€” March 19
Rayman Legends β€” Feb. 26
The Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate Edition β€” March
The Croods: Prehistoric Party! β€” March 19
The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct β€” March 26

I'm curious about Aliens: CM because I like sci-fi shooters and those segments of BLOPS2 just don't do it for me, but I'm not sure if it's a day one purchase..

Lego City: Undercover actually looks really fun, but I don't know if I can actually commit to buying it.

Rayman Legends.. I feel bad saying, but I don't think I'll be getting this. I love platformers but I wasn't impressed by what I played in the demo. While Castle Rock was FUCKING AWESOME, the rest of it was just 'eh' in my eyes. I'd have to borrow this from someone to try it and hope it catches me early enough to sway me into a purchase. Sadly, I'm the only person I know with a Wii U...

At least I have time to play all those other launch games I bought.. And Xenoblade.. and Rune Factory.. lol
