*sighs*

How much you want to bet that she's not going to wear her full suit in the movie?  They are so going to "Tomb Raider" this, but no one cared about Tomb Raider to begin with.

I'm not sayin I'm totally against a live action movie or that it couldn't be done well but lets face it in all likelyhood it will suck all the odds are against it. After seeing the suit in the prime commerical which was decent for that I cringe of the thought of it being in a movie. I know in the movie they will try to make it look much better but its not like they can do alot. Also samus is very agile it would be hard for her to do alot of the stuff she does in the game with that heavy suit. I know I sound like a stupid fanboy but I just feel that a metroid movie would look so freakin awesome done all cgi like final fantasty.I mean they wouldn't have to worry about sacrifing so many of the elements from the game like they would if it was life action and what elements that could be done in both would look better in cgi cause obviously cgi affects would be needed for certain things in live action as well .  The cgi affects would obviously blend together better if everything is cgi around unlike if everything was real like a live action movie.I'm not saying cgi always looks bad in live action to the contrary but sometimes its looks awkward jumping to something real then cgi cause it can look real fakey like alot of scenes in spiderman. I still loved that film but it was kinda annoying. An all CGI film would be no more expensive then a live action and if they wanted to look real good live action they would undoubtly have to pay more then giving it the final fantasty treatment. Besides you know they prolly wouldn't give the live action movie a huge budget what game based movie have you seen with a real huge budget with maybe the exception of tomb raider and I bet that wasn't as expensive as alot of non- game based action movies. So if they don't put forth a huge sums of money on live action movie were stuck with a movie with affects like the prime commericial. Just think about it

They could go anime with this movie, that could work quite well, i would chose it over live action, CGI would be great ofcourse its just the cost thing, the final fantasy (that movie should have been called something else) movie was awsome visually, but like someone else said was wayyy to expensive.

one thing i would like to see would be some cameos by Iwata, Miyamoto, Lincon etc, that would be awsome

Lincoln doesn't work for Nintendo anymore.

In any case, an actual anime series is seeming somewhat likely at this point.  The creator of the manga (which, from what I hear, is being published and sold in Japan and is on Metroid's Japanese site) has expressed interesting in making a "Metroid Origins" TV Show.  I wouldn't get your hopes up too high, though.  Many manga-ka want to turn their creations in to anime, but most don't succeed.  Nintendo would certainly have the clout to make one (or have someone else make one), but I don't think Metroid is a big enough property in Japan for it to make a difference.  Who knows?  Maybe Fusion's sales might have made a dent in NCL's anti-Metroid demeanor.
