Watch over 30 minutes of video from the start of the upcoming 3DS Paper Mario including the game's opening cinematic.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star was playable this past weekend at New York Comic Con. Watch video footage from the very beginning of the game below. Also, read Aaron's impressions of the game if you haven't already.

I just came in to say that I'm refraining from watching this. By elimination, this is now one of my most anticipated games of the year, and in my experience watching extended footage of games I'm anticipating kills the experience of playing through it myself.

I would like to hear, however, whether or not it looks awesome. Let me know.

Can't help ya, this is also my most anticipated game and I surely do not want to ruin the first 30 minutes for myself.

Miyamoto says he doesn't like stories in Mario games, but the Paper Mario series and the Mario & Luigi series are full of stories.

The Mario RPG series aren't made by EAD; they're done by outside studios.

lol, I love the idea that Miyamoto, just beneath his calm and jovial exterior, is silently raging at the fact that Intelligent Systems have made it their mission to contradict his expressed wishes.

Anyway, I'm sure the quote was specifically in reference to Mario platformers.

I can't watch this. I have to wait for this game to come out.
If you shall force your righteous perspective upon others, which in turn requires an effort to understand, would you do the same? Or presumptuously reject theirs to begin with...?

..Which requires no effort on your part.

What else could you say in a complicated world..

As someone said, I'm sure he was talking about the 2D and 3D platformers.

Nintendo of America has requested we take the video down. If you missed out on watching it, sorry bro. I'll leave this thread up so we can continue talking about how we want to keep ourselves fresh for the full game (I'm in that boat).

From the sounds of it they might as well have let you keep the video up as no one seems to want to spoil the game for themseves, lol.

Have to say, I'm kind of impressed by the game so far, and more so from the video.  It seems like Bowser Jr and Kersti have at least some personality in this game, I like the battle system despite the lack of partners and it does seem like the game might have a few plot twists to make it more interesting (as in, have it turn out Bowser isn't the main/only villain).
