Nintendo Co., Ltd. will host a Japanese Nintendo Direct at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT. Nintendo of America will follow it up with a video Nintendo Direct afterwards.

UPDATE 6:30 p.m. PT - The Nintendo Direct will be focused on 3DS games, likely Paper Mario: Sticker Star.

We have no idea what the content of this Nintendo Direct will be, but it could be some combination of Wii U and 3DS games in early 2013, or possibly highlighting upcoming 2012 releases.

Wii U-focused Nintendo Directs were held in Europe and Japan on September 13, while North America had a live event in New York City. There was a Nintendo Direct in Japan at the end of August that focused on upcoming 3DS games.

For the Japanese version, Nintendo will usually have a Ustream link somewhere on Nintendo.co.jp. For English, there's a Ustream link as well unless it will be a pre-recorded video.

Also, I hope they reveal what Retro has been up to. More about their online. I hope they announce a new game case design, because I really can't stand that yellow line. It's so random. It clashes with most box art. I haven't seen yellow anywhere else in Nin's marketing material or anything.

I want a big system update that lets me do more. I should be able to street pass when playing DSiware or DS games.

my wet dream is that I can ship nintendo my cartridges and for a small fee $10 they will give me an e-shop code. Nintendo will convert the cartridge data (save data and game) to something you can download via e-shop and work in same virtual console fashion ( so can street pass and go to home and have save states) . That way my copy of Tetris DS can be forever placed on my SD card and play whenever I want regardless if I have the cartridge and 100% legit way. Also have 2 codes so you can share the game with one other person.


My 2nd Wet dream is the ability to transfer over all Wii Virtual Console games to 3DS and be able to play them on the go and take out sd card and play them on tv via the wii ( like Sony does with PS3 / PSP ).

PREDICTION: They will reveal new upcoming features that will be added in an upcoming firmware update slated for November.

FURTHER PREDICTION: At the end of November, the update will get a last minute delay to the first week of December. :-P

It just occurred to me after noticing an update from the Kid Icarus: Uprising Facebook promoting the new trailers being added to the eShop...

Having a surprise ND they same the day they oddly add (and promote) new trailers for a game that's already been out six months seems like an odd coincidence. I'd say there's a good likelihood Kid Icarus: Uprising Idol Cards could actually be announced for the North American market tonight... Just a thought.
