A new numbered addition to the Kingdom Hearts series long overdue. With that Final Fantasy Versus XIII being cancelled, Nomura can devote his resources to making a new Kingdom Hearts game. It would be released for the Wii U, 360 and PS3.
 
Worlds:
 
One issue that the KH series has been critisized for is the recycling of old worlds from Disney's universe. For the new game the developers should focus on the seires of Disney Afternoon. Shows such Darkwing Duck, Tail Spin, Duck Tails, Goof Troop, Gargoyles, and Chip and Dales.

Minin the Pixar movies for worlds would be a good idea as well.

No it was not.  It's just taken forever to make.  I've heard the entire look and feel of the game has been revamped.

I have to be honest, I've never played a Kingdom Hearts game yet. And I'll probably wait till it comes out on a Nintendo home console before I start.

Nah. We don't need a Kingdom Hearts 3. There's no real conclusion to the story- each new game just asks more questions and becomes less about Disney and Final Fantasy and more about... stupid stuff.

Most of them are spinoffs, though I've heard 3D is worth a lot more than what most give a handheld game of the series.

NFR2 has a discussion on that whole timeline KH thing.  Suffice to say making KH3 would be a cap on the Series if it is what the game was billed as when originally pushed.  Square doesn't want to do that because KH still makes money.

Actually, Nomura said that once KH3 was over, that was be the end to the Xehanort Saga and the beginning of a new series. One that wouldn't have Sora in it. He said like... a year ago maybe?

I think you're right.  They are making another game in the series with Lightning as the protagonist again.
