Does a tweet from one of Pachter's fans give a glimpse into a Wii U promotion?

Burger King might be offering Wii U toys starting on October 25, according to a rumor discussed by Game Industry Analyst Michael Pachter on a recent episode of Pach Attack.

There is also speculation that these Burger King toys could include some sort of NFC (near-field communication) capabilities, making use of a little-discussed feature of the Wii U GamePad.

Burger King and Nintendo ran a similar promotion for the Wii, but those toys didn't come out until after the system's launch.

The launch of the Wii U is officially set for the holidays, but recent news (and sound logic) points to a November 18 release for the system in North America.

If they do have NFC capabilities, I may force myself to go get them all if I can.  BK will be the meal of choice for a few weeks.

Often with the toys, you can pay to just get them (usually like $5), though the problem is finding them since some tend to be more tare.

Burger King food is pretty good actually, much better than McDonald's (I think think only Wendy's and Tom Wahl's have better fast food).

Can't stand Burger King, but regardless, they've recently (or will very soon) fall behind Wendy's in the fast food wars. That's gotta say something. And perhaps indicates that they're a less auspicious launchpad for a Nintendo promotion than they were five years ago.

Burger King's BLT Grilled Chicken Salad with Apple Cider Vinegretta is good.  A lot of the time it is still cheaper just to buy a kids meal.

Burger King food is pretty good actually, much better than McDonald's (I think think only Wendy's and Tom Wahl's have better fast food).

I'll take In N Out over any of those.  I like them all though for quick and easy food.
