Best Buy has a few sales this week, I believe they will be available until the 1tth. The two notable ones are:
Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games $29.99
de Blob $29.99

I can't decide which one I should get. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Looks like the link is too large to be hyperlinked. It will work if you copy and paste it into the address bar.

First of all Mop it up the link doesn't go to the page you are referring to. Second of all I would go with De Blob.It is a great game with a few annoyances. It takes a while to beat a level and some have said the camera isn't perfect.
On the other hand Mario&Sonic is the first game with Mario and Sonic in a game together. So it could be a collectors item down the road. The controls in the game are great such as Archery. There is Mario in the game but no Bird or Toad.Well toad is in the game but as a referee.
Weigh your options.

I was actually leaning towards de Blob because it looks really fun and cute, but when I went there today I didn't see it anywhere on the shelves. So I guess the decision was made for me.

Really though, how can you go wrong with something like Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games? It's got Mario in it. It's got Sonic in it. It's got Olympic games. It's like an April Fools joke gone horribly right.

I read the story about how some characters were cut from the game, including Donkey Kong and Birdo. I'm not surprised to see Toad as a referee, he's filled roles like that before, usually in the Mario Party games.

Hmm, if I see Strikers, might have to grab that.  I also so Boom Blox for $19.99 at my local store.  Gonna wait for the sequel though, I bought the first one and gave it away to my parents who quickly became addicted.

Popped into my local Blockbuster on my way home from work.  Turns out the store doesn't even sell new games.  What a waste of 5 minutes of my time.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

A couple quick questions:
Is this at regular Blockbuster stores or just the ones with the Game Rush add-ons?
Any idea how long the sale lasts?

The 2 stores in my area are the normal stores and both have these sales.

As long as the store is corporate owned, franchise stores have their own wacky rules.

Anyone ever heard of the Retro Duo Twin NES and SNES Console?  If this thing actually works, it seems like a pretty good deal, forty bones for 2 systems in 1.

I've heard of it but I have never used one. The consensus seems to be that it works decently, but not as well as the official systems. I think there are a small number of games which don't work on it, and also the controllers are cheaply made and break easily.

EDIT: A bit more on topic, here's Best Buy's deal of the week which starts today.
Guitar Hero Aerosmith (game only): $10
Guitar Hero III (game only): $10

Available both in-store and online.

Your thread title fails for lack of specificity, which means, UNFORTUNATELY FOR YOU, that my post preempts your thread.

Sorry Flames, better luck next time! ;)

I think I'm going to pick up Strikers and Sluggers at $15 each at Blockbuster just for the Club Nintendo coins.  I wonder how much I can get on those for trade-in?

They'd be worth more if you kept them sealed, though then you wouldn't be able to get the codes.
GameStop sells Mario Sluggers for $45 used and Mario Strikers is $40 used, so if you took store credit then they might give you $20 and $15, respectively. Not really worth it just for Cub Nintendo coins. You could probably do better on eBay though.

Mario Sluggers is a good game though, why not keep it at that price? I'm not fond of Mario Strikers myself but it is still something you might want to try out, especially at that price.

Just picked up the Wireless sensor bar by Nyko at Best Buy for 10 bones.  I'll let you know how it works.

Update:  Meh, its definitely stronger and gives off a signal with less jutter, but still not perfect.  Still glad I got it though, as it does help, and my Wii is surrounded by four giant sun filled windows.

Had crap luck with Nyko's Wireless Bar myself.  Ate batteries like you wouldn't believe (though the red light was on but the signal strengh was laughable).

GTA Chinatown wars (DS) is on sale for $20 bucks (great deal IMO) at Bestbuy.

I found a few goodies at Blockbuster too:
Professor Layton (DS) for $10 (I bought mine months ago for $30)
Advance Wars Day of Ruin (DS) $15
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time (Ds) $20
Chrono Trigger (DS) $20
Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution (DS) $15
The World End's with You (DS) $15 (I freaking missed this one--they had one copy only and I went to talk with one employee and turned around it was GONE!!!)

Also of note in the Best Buy sale this week... Naked Brothers for $9.99, with Logitech microphone included.

That's a $25-30 microphone by itself, from what I've seen on Amazon/Newegg.  Works with GH:WT, RB1, RB2, GH:M, and probably any other karaoke/voice game.

If you already had guitars and got game only, a sweet deal to pick up a mic.  And FYI, Gamestop is currently giving $5 store credit for the game only.  So I really got a $5 microphone, and put a reserve down for Tiger Woods.  ;D
