E3 2012 Memes
« on: June 10, 2012, 09:34:31 PM »
One of the best things to come out of each year's E3 (aside from the games) is the various memes that are spawned. Who can forget the Giant Crabs or the "My Body is Ready" and other memes from years past? But this is 2012, and what Memes has this year's conference spawned?

I have seen comments from people about how bad or horrible this year's E3 was, so shouldn't there be something Meme worthy that can be salvaged from this wreckage?

I'd be surprised if "Girl Wood" didn't become a Meme at some point after the Ubisoft Press Conference.  I could see one being made of that Ubisoft eSports demonstration as well, considering that entire "live demo" was a recording of a match several days prior.  Maybe Reggie's "Raaargh...I LIKE FRENCH FOOD! *Nom*..."

Not a lot of meme-worthy things this year, though.  As bad as things were, they really weren't hilariously bad.

*EDIT*  On second thought, I could see meme forming from that hideously disappointing "Oh, one more thing...*FIREWORKS FROM A GAME YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT!*" bit from the end of the Nintendo Press Conference.

Oh, so we found out what the deal was with the fireworks. Confetti and stuff was supposed to rain down simultaneously (a single piece actually fell down during the conference), but something failed and nothing came down, making for a very awkward moment.

I was wondering what was up with that single piece of confetti that dropped shortly before the end of the conference. Then I was surprised that nothing happened at the end... kind of fitting if you think about it though.

Iwata created a popular new meme.

The pictures of him holding the bananas has already gotten a lot of usage and will probably be used around the web everytime Nintendo is going to have a conference or reveal something.

LOL, E3 was so disappointing this year that one piece of confetti is all it was worth.

BTW, what is the singular of confetti? Confett?

Well, if we're assuming Latin origin, it would be confettus.

Someone should have saved that single piece of confetti.

I would have paid a lot of money for it. ;)

I good amount of people are probably curious about that.  Should put a little story with pictures.  Maybe even a photoshopped simulation picture of how it was suppose to be.

Maybe someone did? Who knows?

I think its really funny and weird that just a single piece of confetti fell. You'd think it would be more likely that either nothing would fall or a little would fall, or it all would fall... but just one single piece? That's really weird.
