It's not about the legality of the subject matter, but the volatility. People are a lot less likely to get in angry flame wars over piracy than politics.

The great thing is the two main mods, myself and UncleBob, are pretty much on opposite sides of the political spectrum, so we keep each other in check in terms of what we allow.

This is part of the reason we lost a lot of good posters. 

TJ Spyke and I don't agree on everything.  Which is fine.  He adds a dynamic to the forums that I very much appreciate.  In general if you ask he will back up his claims.  I'm a big Man.  I can admit grudgingly that I'm wrong when someone will back their argument.

TJ Spyke plays the White Knight role often but, from what I can tell if we were all corporate White Knights he would manifest as the anti-Establishment Hippy.

Oh damn, SUPER bingo-ed on TJ. Yeah, one of his favourite lines lately is to claim the site I linked to isn't reputable or some BS like that when ever one of his precious corporations does something bad.

Now he doesn't even bother, he just rolls in his fuming smite hole fast enough to power a small town.

I seriously believe we are talking about two completely different TJs Ceric. He always white knights the corps even in the face of factually bad news caused by their own direct actions or one is ripping off the other. IE, Simcity 2013, Colonial Marines. You can predicte his behaviour like the sun rises. He has seriously been a shocking poster as of late, out doing Tendoboy at his peak which one could blame on a child-like ignorance of reality. But TJ doesn't even have that excuse.
