GameCube Preview Disc Avaliable This Month
« on: May 07, 2003, 04:31:53 PM »
You'll be able to get your hands one those delectable demos very soon.

A while back, it was announced that a preview disc of upcoming games would be released for the GameCube. Online retailer EBgames.com has just posted a product page for the demo disc. It appears that Nintendo is following the lead of Sony and Microsoft, by releasing their demo disc at retail locations for a very low price. According to the product info page, the preview disc will be available later this month on May 19th. It also carries a retail price for $9.99.

This disc will have playable demos of Sonic Adventure DX, Viewtiful Joe, Billy Hatcher & the Giant Egg, Soul Calibur II, as well as Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. There is also a rumor that there will be downloadable games for Game Boy Advance, such as "Wario Ware" and "Nintendo Puzzle Collection" games, and that you can download them to your GBA with a Link Cable.

This demo disc will also come packed in with GameCubes shipped after this May. We'll have more info on this as it develops.

I posted this about 2.5 hours ago on the boards, but its cool. Now everyone will be able to see since its on the front page. It better come to brick and mortar stores also so don't have to pay shipping.
Pietriots, we roll out to get the lol out.

Anyone thik 9.99 is a little steep for just the disc itself?  I'll probably get it, but I think it's a little bit of a rip-off to charge $9.99 for a disc when the other manufacturers make a disc with more on it for $6.99, and it comes with a mgazine.  And you can buy it in most grocery and drug stores.  If they packaged it with NP and made it cost $6.99 or $7.99, I think it'd be a much better deal.

Unless the Nintendo Puzzle Collection is on it.  Then I must buy no matter what.

Oooo!  I might burn a few dollars to play a demo of VJ.  Hopefully it plays as good as it looks.

It plays even BETTER than it looks, Joe.  It's almost scary how good this simple little game is.  Wow.
