Microsoft is going to try and eat Nintendo's lunch and fail because they don't have that Miyamoto magic.

Well Nintendo has already ate their lunch, right now MS is asking for lunch money so they can buy a snack.

haha +1

Can't tell if this is pre-recorded or not, but they have definitely memorized the dance.

How is a remake of Halo 1 a "innovative experience"?

Well that was, um, uneventful. The news of the day is that poor Bungie is still stuck with Halo.

That was stronger then I thought it would be.  Especially the end items with Sesame Street Etc. wasn't totally expecting that.

Well I enjoyed the MW3 footage as well as GOW3, hope to see MW on Cafe looking as good. Man I just know those "core gamers" (hate that term) have mixed feelings right now. There is no way Nintendo can't top that showing.

Nope. 343 Industries. Bungie separated from Halo since Reach.

Why? They get lots of shooting and stuff blowing up types of games.

Because those gamers want it all! They want everything to interest them and only them. I can see the value in Sesame St and Disney, as a matter of fact I kind of want those games. But people like my ideot single minded friends, they will write it all off as worthless.

I am really dissapointed in MS's showing though, it was really, well, average. They needed something extra and didn't bring it. Which sucks because I do like my 360. Of course I'm looking forward to Mass Effect 3, but that is about it out of its core games. I was once a huge fan of CoD back when it first came out for PC, but I got burnt out on the series. Gears of War 3, ehhe pretty much looks like the previous two, and I could never get into those. The Kinect games look fun, like the Disneyland and Kinect Sports 2, but still nothing surprising or innovative. The best news, sadly, is how Kinect is evolving, beyond that, where the heck are the games that actually are more traditional in nature? And Halo 4, um, cool I guess, if you are a fan of the series, but Bungie is no longer working on it.

Microsoft seemed to have played the show way too safe, and it likely means Nintendo (and maybe even Sony) will overshadow them

I have to disagree.  Microsoft played the show as strong as it could.  Stronger then I actually expected to tell you the truth.  The problem is that Sony has the NGP and Nintendo has the 3DS still and Cafe.  Microsoft is making a clear move to make Windows Phone 7 their portable gaming machine but, its not ready for the true push yet.  Next update probably but not now.  They literally threw everything they had but, with the hype on Nintendo they just didn't have the ammunition.

So it was a bunch of casual/kid focused motion control junk and the same old sequels?  What is this a Nintendo conference? HA!

Wasn't Halo Reach essentially Halo 4?  The series just seems played out now.  It's just the law of diminishing returns.  But it will actually be a new trilogy!  Oh joy.  Three more games in a series that is already milked too hard.  Halo needs a break.  MS is coming across very much like Activision where they have this small handful of IP and they just keep popping it out again and again and we care less and less each time.  Halo!  Gears of War!  Fable... again for some reason even though no one seems to like those games.  It really seems like MS has realized they don't have much of their own IP and they're kind of panicking.

I'm sure you can find one on Giant Bomb, Gamespot, IGN, or any of the big video game portals.
