Resident Evil Bar Opening in Tokyo

Ever wondered what green herbs taste like?

Capcom has teamed up with EA (pronounced "AIR"), an air-shooting bar in Tokyo, to open up a special place to replenish your health in celebration of Resident Evil's 15th anniversary.

The bar-slash-air-shooting gallery will be refurbished to look like the interior of the S.T.A.R.S office, fitting in with the story and style of the Resident Evil series. Visitors can leisurely shoot at special zombie-decorated targets, then partake of various refreshments such as a "Three-Herb Cocktail". A commemorative video for the series' anniversary will be featured on location.

The promotional outbreak will linger in the store from May 20 to June 19.

Huh, I thought Cannibalism was illegal even in Japan.  And let's hope they never have to serve the Blue Herb.   ;)

Alright I know that has to be a Meme.  What is the Jill Sandwich spawned from?

Alright I know that has to be a Meme.  What is the Jill Sandwich spawned from?

It's from a line in the original Resident Evil game on PS1.  Barry Burton saves Jill Valentine from a room with a crusher ceiling and follows it up with the bad joke/meme "If you were in there any longer, you'd be a Jill Sandwich!"

That line was rewritten a bit in the GameCube remake (along with the infamous "Master of Unlocking" and "I HAVE THIS!" Barry lines) to not be so silly: "If you were in there any longer, you'd fit nicely in a sandwich!"

As for the reference, I didn't make it because Dead Rising did it first but that's just me.

I think the first verson works better then the Fit Nicely.

Honestly, you have to hear the original line of dialogue to understand why the remake version works better.  It's not just the dialogue, but the delivery of it as well.  The voice acting in the original Resident Evil is notoriously awful.  The remake's voice acting, while not spectacular, at least has better delivery and smoother dialogue.

Yeah I see your point.  I think both of those are terrible those.  The first for the delivery. The second for the line.  Wow, that games looks totally different between the first clip and the remake clip.
