Watch some of this year finals at MLG June's show for KoF XIII you can find the streams from the official site but I should warn you that the announcers suck. 

Also, Gamefly had used copies of SFxT on sale ($19 for 360 and $25 for PS3) so I nabbed the PS3 version.  If you subscribe to PS+ this month you'll get a bunch of free games one of them was VF5 Final Showdown (free=godly otherwise you can spend $15 for it). 

And lastly, Persona 4 Arena continues to expand it's roaster, hopefully these additional characters like Elizabeth won't be day 1 DLC.

I really wouldn't expect Atlus to put out much if any DLC for that game.  Catherine never had any DLC, nor Demons' Souls if I remember correctly.

Finally gotten SFXT during gamefly's spring cleaning sale and found myself enjoying the game quite a bit.  I know diehard fighting fans scuff at the "gem" system and the quick combo commands but for those of us that just plain suck, it gives us(noobs) at least a fighting chance.  Picked up the PS3 version (since there's 5 exclusive characters) but haven't modded my Xbox 360 FS. 

Thinking about going with Toodles Cthulhu Multi-Console, in fact I ordered the damn thing but Lizardlick went out of business or something and canceled my order (after about two months ).  Going have to order from Focusattack. 

So right now I'm mostly just playing the arcade (story) mode and watching other people's replays (love watching the game almost as much as playing it).  Notice that game doesn't offer an galley mode?  Meaning you can't rewatch intro's or endings --hopefully they'll add that in the next patch/update.

Congratulations on the purchase of a fighting game~! It's good that you like watching matches a lot, because that will enable you to borrow (steal) a lot of smart tactics.
 
How much are you looking to spend on a multi-console fightstick? You can get the PS3/XBOX+PC KOF fightstick for 99 bux from Play-Asia.
 
Although I think that game is butts, I'm pretty interested in watching the EVO tournament because it's 2 man teams (and I mean two-on-two human players) and the teamwork might be more important than the game fundamentals. Maybe.

Man, there's alot of ragequiters online,  why can't people take their loses?  Played 10 matches and lost 8 and the two that I nearly won had raged quiters at the end of 2nd round with less than 25% health.

Kinda strange but there's more online lag compared to SSF4, checked my end and I'm stable at 18-22Mb/s and those that were connecting with me had 3+ bars?  Think it has to deal with other guys upload speeds since some companies like TW cap it so it leaves me waiting to get packets.

Still, fook Ragequiters arseholes.  I've taken tons of loses over the years (more than wins for that matter) and never ragedquit in a fighting game.

Well, ragequitting sinks your rating pretty hard, just like it does in SF4 and MVC3, as far as I know. So, once you fight your way out of the lowest ranks, they pretty much stop happening forever, because those guys that ragequit never make it anywhere.
 
As for the lag, that's weird, since SFxT actually has better netcode than SF4. I guess the only thing you can do is check and make sure something else isn't sapping your bandwidth, make sure you're using an ethernet connection (not wireless).

Something strange going on with my PS3?  My PC connection is 20/20 stable but when I just checked the PS3 connection it stated 20/3.5 (download/upload)?  WTF?

Never messed around with the PS3 network settings but I'm running in Nat 2 mode with an wired connection.  The only thing I didn't enabled was static IP mode (I have it on auto-ip) so tomorrow I'm going assign a static IP for it and see if that fixes my issues).

That might explain why KoFXIII was laggy for me as well since I have the PS3 version of that as well.  My SSF4 is on the Xbox.

Where are you seeing that?  I've listened to quite a few gaming podcasts by now on E3, and I've never heard anything more than "eh...kind of fun, but still kind of ripping off Smash Bros and we're not sure what Sony's going to do for characters."

I've listened to more recent Weekend Confirmeds, though, and they don't seem terribly interested in the game since they glazed over it in discussing E3.  And at the time of episode 110, Battle Royale had just been unveiled so it was the big story in a week of little news IIRC.  Even if they were excited for it, though, I don't see how one podcast equates to the entire "gaming media."

I like to think it's being produced as a Smash Bros for people who hate Smash Bros. Does that make sense? I mean, I don't give a rat's butt about Sony's characters or PS3 in general, but I'm very interested in this game. It seems to me that, other than it's a 4 player fighter, they're taking a completely opposite design philosophy that may succeed in winning over the people who lost interest in Brawl for whatever reasons. I think there are a lot of those people, and that's how I feel about it. I don't think it's a subconscious bias. And also because nobody actually likes PS3.

Back to me gripping about fighting online:  Ragequiters edition.

The arse that I was playing against is a "known" rage quiter (in fact he ragequit his very first match online) and he's ranked B in SFxT.  Capcom was "supposed" to have an system in place that tracked disconnectors (MvC3 I think tried this) and filter them out of the general ranking system--hense ragequiters would have been paired with other ragequiters. 

Sad; Capcom never followed up with that program so now I'm stuck with these fooks.  An top of that there's no ranking system to filter these guys on PSN so that's one plus with MS Xbox Live (I filter out anyone who has less than 3 star rating which is the default rating).

So the best you can do is send them mean little text message or just block them out. Manual blocking.  When did playing games online become work?

Really, is he quitting out of ranked matches? I only really played SFxT online for one day so maybe I was wrong about it punishing ragequitters.  SF4 and MVC3 kinda murder ragequitters so I didn't think they would change that.

I'm guessing all of these bikinis will be available down the line as DLC. Somebody please tell me I read the news story wrong about the collector's edition, though.
