Sadly uninterested until they announce it for a usable platform. :(
Nice try at trolling, not really, but it's X360/PS3/PC. I don't know if they've "announced" the PC one per se but the plan is they're going to work on that version soon as the 360/PS3 versions are out the door. I may be putting words in someone's mouth but I think one of the team posted that that was the plan.

I doubt it. If for no other reason than Xbox Live being as locked down as it is. There certainly wouldn't be any technical reasons why not, though.

Can we talk about Soul Calibur again?
Still my favorite fighting game of all time and launch game of all time.

I honestly never played fighting games enough to really master the characters before but with this one I could do every move of every single person (except Voldo, that freak).   My best friend and I would have epic 8 on 8 battles every day with all kinds of different characters.  Edge Master was my favorite character to pick.

Then I picked up number 2 in college and just killed everyone I played against so even though it had those cool weapon unlocks I just never got into it as much as the first.

Gems could  be interesting for Tournament play unless there evolves a combo that everyone just has to use or get smoked.

My Madcatz Fightstick SSIV SE should arrive today :).  Not sure when I'm going get to ordering my Sanwa 8 way joystick and 30mm buttons so I'll stick with the 4 way gate for now.  Also found some 2 pound weights to add (people complain that the standard's to light and moves around).  And since I'm going mod the freaking thing I might as well change the art as well--haven't pick the theme but I usually go for something a bit wacky.  Overall I'll end up spending around $90 which is cheaper than tournment sticks.

Now all I have to do is fix my Live account than I'm all set.  Hopefully SSFIV Arcade DLC goes on sale again because I'm not paying $15 (1200MS points) for it--willing to go 800 ($10) for it.

BTW Super, when you go to tournments what system do most people play on?

Most tournaments are on 360s, but there are still PS3 ones. Evo has been using PS3s for the last few years but people really started to complain this year (SSF4 on PS3 runs like ~1f behind the 360 one for some reason).

Oh yeah, AE DLC was just discounted on PSN, maybe the 360 one isn't far behind.

Well after messing around with MS tech support for a couple of hours I finally got LIVE and other hour or so with the fightstick I decide why not a ranked match to start things off.  Me (Ryu) vs B+ ranked Bison from the Uk, the first match I landed in a few good blows but in the second match it was 8 second smackdown with me face down in the dirt.  Ouch and that's just with a B rated player, hate to see what the others can do.

Still getting used to using a fightstick (always been an gamepad kind of guy) and so far I found I can get ultras off ahell of alot easier but still having trouble with the trails mode combo sections.

Next up with MK vs DC--I'm a little better at this one so I expect to win a couple of matches (or at least make it look good).

Why would you play someone in the UK? You're in the US, right?

Don't sweat the trials too much. They're not really that good for teaching practical stuff. It's kind of weird how trials make you do hard links before easier, more practical stuff.

I was super duper good at Soul Calibur 2. To the point that I could memorize the movements from gamecube and do them at the arcade to kick butt!

Please please let part 5 come out for Wii U. I just don't buy non Nintendos so this is all I can hope for.

SSF4AE on pc for cheap

Quote
Good news for PC gamers, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition is 50% off ($19.99) on Steam. Even though the PC version isn’t getting AE version 2012 until Q1 of next year, this is still a pretty good deal. You can also get a Four Pack for $59.98 and split the cost between friends for an even better discount. The Steam Holiday Sale ends on January 2nd, which is more than enough time to make a decision.

v2012 update will be free just like on 360/PS3... but you have to wait for it. Bleh.

My update:  My Madcatz SFIV Fightstick is acting up already, some movements on the stick don't seem to work and two buttons are begining to stick--I was planning on swapping them out but damn Madcatz sure make some weak as knockoffs because they simply didn't last more than a week.

Going order up some replacement parts, think I'm going with an Seimitsu LS-32-01 stick with an round gate (though I would have the other 4/8 way on hand if I change my mind) and Sanwa 30MM  buttons for the best performance.  The order came to $51 shipped from focus attack's website.

As for gameplay, I started to get a bit better at SSFIV though I'm still getting my ass handed to me online but offline I noticed improvement since I no longer have much issue with the AI on normal.  Sad my controller is dying now because I was expecting more "new" players at x-mas so I wouldn't be at an disadvantage.

I'll start adding people to xbox live once I get back from x-mas diner.

Neat, I don't think I've ever used a Seimitsu stick before. Did they not the Sanwa, or are you fighting the power? I think I also started killing my MadCatz buttons within a week...

Road to Evo is a way to get yourself to into the Evo World Championships. You get a certain amount of points when you place at any Road to Evo tournament this year.

Might want to clarify that you don't need to attend or place in any of these tournaments to get into Evo - Evo registration is open to everyone. If you get any points, you'll be seeded further away from others with points and theoretically have a more comfy place in the bracket.

However! You should attend as many tournaments as possible because
- they are really fun
- you meet cool people
- it is the fastest way to get better at fight games

Also a lot of these tournaments have beta games and stuff like that! Get 'em!
