3DS Mii Maker
« on: March 27, 2011, 12:48:10 PM »
Dumb question - has anyone figured out how to change their "personal" Mii?  Of course, the software forced me to create one when I loaded it, so I kept everything at the default settings.  Then, imported a Mii from my Wii... But now it won't let me delete Default or set my Mii as my personal Mii.  Any suggestions?

Yeah, that was a problem for me too, as I made my girlfriend's Mii first.  I just had to edit hers (change the name and everything) into me.  It seems like the 1st Mii you make is your personal Mii.

I got everything as close as possible to my Wii's Mii as I could, then for the last bits I saved images of each one and swapped the images back and forth on my computer.  I was impressed how close I'd got, and just had to tweak some positioning.  You can vertically squish parts in the 3DS and that's why I couldn't get the eyes right... they were slightly compressed and it looked like I'd somehow managed to get the angle slightly different.

That let me fix things up and when I exported a new image, I'd lined them up perfectly!  :D

I ended up fixing mine by "editing" my imported-Wii-Mii - each feature one at a time.  For example, I went to the eyes, then hit each edit button in the left-hand column until was set all the way - counting as I went.  Then, I'd edit my new Mii by setting the left-hand column all the way, then tapping the right-hand column the exact number of times equal to the number from the Wii-Mii.  I was able to replicate my original Mii exactly - it took a while though...

Yeah, I did something similar.  Even though the Miis made on the Wii have less options, I'm still real partial to the original of myself  :D
