Looks pretty damn cool to me.  Check out a couple of screenshots.  It's like the NES has come back to life on the GameCube.

looks good so far. I loved the turtle arcade games. Only downside is that the game is only two players.

I can't believe no one noticed this. The game looks exactly like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Arcade Game for the NES. I don't know if anyone has that game but remember the third level? Your in a sewer and you fight all these little metallic guys. Just like in the screenshot. Also there's a part on the bridge. TMNT 2 was the sickest game, but I want a new story and new game. O well I highly doubt that they would remake an NES game. Their probably just putting it in so people like me will go "O!!! That's from TMNT 2 on the NES!!!"

This game is going to be awesome. It's one of the main reasons why I still have my Cube.

Looks pretty sweet... I was afraid they weren't going to use cel-shading and just go straight 3-D modeling.
But... how well does it play?

This looks like it will dethrone TMNT4: Turtles in Time on SNES as the greatest...if Konami doesn't slack off. I see you can go up stairs and stuff now...nice. And this may be PS2 shots...Maybe you can play 4 player on GCN or PC (online)..

Heh.  I got to Shredder on the first game, but he killed me every time.  I got to him about 2 or 3 times, but never could figure out how to beat him.

You are talking about the first on NES though right?

To beat Shredder in the First Game,
Just Throw lots of Boomerangs,
or use Scrolls... He'll be dead in no TIME

By the way Cell/Toon Shading is 3D modelling...
It's just a Different type of Shader.

C'mon guys, you have to remember Ninja Turtles and the Hyperstone Heist on the sega genesis.  Now that, was THE best one.  The new one looks hella sweet though.  All I want is four player goodness.

With the GCN setup it wouldn't be hard to do but has there ever been a TMNT game where there's four players at once? other than the arcade

This should be fun, The new series is nice and refreshing. I wonder if there will be another movie? I once heard that John Woo was going to direct a CGI TMNT movie. Wheather that's still the case I do not know. But the 1st was the best and the 2nd was pretty good, but the third was just bad plotting.

i heard that they are in fact making a new movie.

i do beleive that konami wont be dumb enough not to include 4 player compatability.

Finally!  Some TMNT screehshots!!  I can't wait!
And the John Woo movie deal actually expired, so far no theatrical movie is in the works.  However, next year there will be a 4 hour, 2-part miniseries on the Hallmark channel featuring live actors and GGI turtles.

The new Turtles movie is reportedly going to be much darker, making it more like the comic. It's also going to be completely CG. I hope Woo handles it well- I've been a fan of the TMNT since I was a baby.

Ohh, the TMNT comics... not the colorful ones, the ones that were done in black and white, with red blood... now THOSE were great comics.  I remember having a fairly thick one, but I lost it.  It had the Turtle Crew go off to another planet somewhere and fight a bunch of aliens in an arena... there was other stuff in it, too, that took place in NYC, but overall it was a great comic.

On a side note, for my best friend's 18th birthday I got him three old TMNT catoon video tapes.  Needless to say, he flipped out and thanked me profusely for the gift.

That's cool, I have the Great hoodini "something like that" it's not as great as the earlier or later episodes. I think the New series is abit more darker than the light hearted one of the 80's and 90's.

Hopefully the Turtles can regain their popularity, I would love to see another movie and it better be damn well good weather it's live action or CGI, Time Travel + Turtles + Fedual Japan = Bad movie. It should usually revolve around Shredder and the likes of evil psychos. Hell intresting to see Kraig and Shredder in a Movie I miss bebop and rocksteady, I'm not sure But I can surely bet that they will be introduce in the new series. they were after all in about every Turtle game I can remember, that and the animated series of the original.

BTW are their still TMNT comics going?
