Why are you double posting the images??

Because they're in 3D.  You need to cross your eyes to see the effect.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

But first you have to manage to get the same 2 pics side by side, and even then I think it would only look right if the 2 pics were slightly offset from each other. But since I can't ever seem to do the cross-eyed 3D thing, I can't be sure is it's set up correctly or not.

It was a joke.

How else does Nintendo sell a billion consoles and handhelds every year?

am i wrong for noticing what looks like the remote control of Peach's vibrating panties in one of those pics? And one of Daisy's first appearances.. looks like she has a fucking dong, wtf?

Oh man. Seeing some of these images again, I can't believe some of what's been posted here. I sometimes post a hotness pic for a joke yet I sometimes stress if my more SFW picture might be pushing things. Then I am reminded of this and wonder why I was ever worried. Almost wonder if I shouldn't edit a couple of these out. But then when I am searching for pics and gifs for posts, I often come across stuff like this in Google Image search so why bother, I guess. Forget it Jake. It's Chinatown The Funhouse the internet.

However, on a very different point, I wonder what happened to Morari. I was reading some things he(she?) posted awhile back and it had me wondering if he was/is transgender. With the pics he posted here, a post one time linking or naming some transgender model as the only hotness he needed, the avatar, and the profile now says female but I think it was male before and it just struck me one time that maybe was secretly transitioning and we never realized it. Or maybe it's just me being an amateur forum detective and reading too much into things. Just something that was on my mind and was reminded of from this old post by her.

I was also thinking about how we kind of got a nice female contingent here on this site a few days ago with the return of Maxi and GP. We've got a few female staff members as well as some more frequent posters and I think that's actually a good sign of our site and forum since it seems to be a bit more rare in other gaming sites sadly. The fact that we can have some diversity here through gender and race and culture with international posters is pretty awesome really. There are subculture of gamers that can be divisive and exclusive of others but it's made me realize how posting on this site and being a Nintendo gamer has led me to meet others I probably wouldn't have the chance to outside of this side and made contacts all around the world which is kind of amazing when I actually think about it. For the most part, we've all been pretty respectful of one another and made a pretty safe posting environment that people can post more freely and be themselves even though we may get "forum drama" over other issues. So, good job everyone, I guess. Even if sometimes we do post stuff like a Hawtness thread as well.

1. I love Chinatown. Fantastic film. Did you ever see The Two Jakes? I recall liking it but that was a long time ago. I wonder if it holds up? Not as good as Chinatown of course.
2. Maxi is female? I am embarrassed to learn this since I have been referring to Maxi as "he" lately. Whoops. Sorry.
3. Not sure about Morari but I think there are a couple of folks around here that have transitioned or are going through it. If any transitioners are reading this, I just want to say, congrats! You are brave and I/we support you.

No. I learned about it a few years back and I know EPL had copies but I have yet to get around to watching it. When I was reading up on Chinatown, I learned that it was envisioned as a trilogy and that Jack Nicholson basically helped fund The Two Jakes to keep it going but it wasn't received as well as Chinatown. The problem is that Chinatown is so well done and pretty much a masterpiece of film-making that it became to hard to try and follow it up or top it yet I'm still curious what the end result was like for TTJ. I finally got around to seeing Chinatown around 2014 I think and my biggest regret was not watching it sooner. I've been a big fan of film noir since watching classic in my late teens and, although Chinatown is part of the neo-noir genre for coming after the golden age of noir and being in color, to me it is one of the absolute classics of noir and up there with the likes of Double Indemnity or The Maltese Falcon and one of the best of the best of genre. The Godfather Part 2 won Best Picture that year but I think I'd have given it to Chinatown. What's crazy is that The Conversation was also in contention that year which is another great film that gets overshadowed by The Godfather Part 2 and Chinatown.

I think the reason that makes Chinatown a little extra special compared to other noir films is the score. A great score can really elevate a movie. There are some movies that I like watching just because of how well the score blends in with the scenes even if the movie itself isn't the greatest. What's incredible is that Jerry Goldsmith composed that score in just 10 days because the producer rejected the score by the person originally hired to score it yet he knocked it out of the park with one of the best noir scores/themes ever.

EPL does indeed still have copies of The Two Jakes and I checked out one of them. I now have the next three weeks to watch it.

Don't feel too bad Fatty, I don't think Maxi/BeautifulShy ever made an announcement about it here. That happened over on another forum we both frequented during her vacation from NWR.

In anycase I can say that it is nice to see the posts from Khush and Fatty about transitioning and people going through that.

Well I can't say anything about the game but I can say that when I went up to San Fran for an convention a few years ago Chinatown was pretty wonderful.
