Nintendo Power Reveals Cave Story for DSiWare
« on: September 22, 2010, 08:42:45 PM »

The newest issue of Nintendo Power lists Cave Story in its index.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/24103

The game index of the latest issue of Nintendo Power lists Cave Story for the DSiWare. This is the first time Cave Story has been mentioned for the DSiWare service. Originally a PC title, Cave Story was ported to Wii and released on the WiiWare service in March, 2010.

More information should be available when the issue hits news stands.

Cave Story Wii was announced in 2007, so this new one will probably launch alongside the 3DS Lite.

I keed, I keed.

Indeed, you meant in all seriousness that it would probably launch alongside the 3DSi XL.   :P:

Meh, good to see DSiWare actually get something worth owning for a change, though I have no interest in it since I have the WiiWare version.

This is good news, DSiWare can always use more serious games. I wonder if they will have any interaction between the WiiWare and DSiWare versions?

If there were any, it would be one-way.  I doubt the WiiWare version would ever get patched with connectivity content.

I haven't gotten around to downloading Cave Story yet, so I'll probably just wait for this now.

I hope the DSi version has some differences from the Wiiware, but I doubt there will be anything new. All the same I just might get it because Cave Story is that good.

okay THATS awesome. i've heard rumors about europe getting a different version of Cave Story for Wiiware with better music and audio, and maybe better text. I really hope THIS is it. I even downloaded 2000 points on my dsi and used only 800, and 1200 should be at least enough. Man, what a coincidence. NICALIS, you have one last chance to redeem yourselves! Do it right!
