Question about Zelda and the bonus disk
« on: April 28, 2003, 03:05:39 PM »
Hello everyone,

If you buy Zelda: Wind Waker, do you automatically get the bonus disk? I just wondered if there was a collector's edition (extra $$$) that you have to get, or if the bonus disk is included with every Wind Waker game. if so, is it in the box, or do you have to mail away for it?

Thanks!

you get the bonus disk if you preordered the game.  seeing as the game is already out, preordering it would be really really stupid.  there are probably ways to get it, asking your local gamestores if they have it, buy it off a friend, buy the N64 version....really, the bonus disk isn't that great.  it's just like playing OoT on gamecube.  it's truthfully worse than the N64 version, i think, because of controls.  don't break your back trying to get it.

If you really want the bonus disk, I would try eBay next if you can't find a used copy in a game store.

Not to mention the load times when saving. No, they aren't long but they aren't instantaneous like the N64 version either.

Master Quest is worth the half second longer loads, though- I had a ton of fun playing through that (even after beating Ocarina of Time some 5 times).

The higher resolution in my opinion out weighed all of those cons. It's such a huge difference between the N64 and GC version. It's so crisp and clear and just nicer to look at on the bonus disk. I don't think I could ever play the N64 version again.
Hey, kid! I’m a computer! Stop all the downloadin’! Help computer!

Man you guys are picky, I thought it was a great deal to get both of the games for FREE.  Plus you make it seem like it takes for ever to load.  What would you rather have, Playstation loading?
