we want bonus discs!
« on: April 24, 2003, 11:17:00 PM »
I am so happy Nintendo gave me zelda ot/master quest
and now I'm hoping they will release mario kart bonus disc with MKDD,
1080 avalanche with 1080 64 bonus disc
Fzero with fzero-x bonus disc
Mario Golf with bonus disc
Mario Tennis with bonus disc
etc

I think this could increase their sales dramatically
I say we all write to Nintendo and tell them this is what we want

I think they could even include both games on one disc ex. 1080 2 with 1080 64 (on same disc)
Also they could probably cram snes or nes games in addition to!
so i say let nintendo know we want this kind of stuff,,,somehow...

nah dont go over board with the bonus discs, the novlety would wear off, specially with games like 1080 given the new game will be better than the last, unlike wind waker which is another game not just an update of the old one. you follow me?

*waits 2 weeks for WW and bonus disc*

Bonus disks were an extra.  Giving them out with every major Nintendo game would make them an expected norm along with the game.
I got some killaz on my payroll.

Maybe not full games or as a full other disc with it's own case and all (included on game you're buying), but I'd like to see more movies and maybe even demos included on games,

an "N64 Hits",  "NES Classics",  and "SNES Classics" would each sell really well, and i would be willing to pay 50 dollars if the best games were on there (i'm not talking one or two, i mean about 20-50, some could be unlockable)

if they ever did that, we might have a chance of having Perfect Dark on GameCube
I'll shut up now...

Wasn't there a rumor about f-zero having the bonus disk since they had a dd64 add on for the game.

I would also love a NES classics disk, or a mario classics.

There was speculation to that effect, but nothing leaking from real sources.

Like I've been saying before, why doesn't Nintendo Power or any other official Nintendo mag give us bonus discs.  I mean Nintendo Power gave us free Super Smash Brothers Melee concert music on a cd, how is that different that a Gamecube disc besides the size.

why not just play them on their native consoles i missed yoshi's island and the DKC series too much so i bought a snes again, ill get a nes soon, and ill also get my 64 fixed, but hey, what ever floats your boat. personally i would really like the bonus disc thingy to be a one off, only because it gave people the master quest, which wasn't released, there arn't any un released versions of mario 64 floating around etc, so yeah.. lets just have it as a little treat.

why not play them on the original consoles?
many reasons:
1. no room for another console in my entertainment center
2. cost (n64 used 45 bucks, each used n64 game 10-30 bucks)
3. portability (10 cartridges or one 8 cm dvd) (don't forget the console too)
4. playing them with the gamecube controller (priceless)
5. showing them off to your xbox friend (priceless)
.

I agree.  After all that Star Fox talk last night, I threw the cart in the N64 and played some.  The controls felt unnatural to me at first, as I haven't picked up a N64 controller in quite some time...  but I got used to it real quick, and I had a great time playing it.  I can't imagine how it would feel on GameCube.

LOL Grey, what happened to you being the almighty great one at Starfox, I still play Starfox for the Snes just to hear that Kicken soundtrack by the way.  Oh yeah, I also heard that someone asked Shigeru Miyamoto about maybe having a bonus disk with Starfox Aramada, and he said something about he always wanted to finish Starfox 2 up, so maybe if were lucky we'll get Starfox one and two on a bouns disc!!! That would be awesome....

*dreams about Starfox2*

Actually I bought my Star Fox and my Rumble Pack seperately when Star Fox became a Player's Choice title.    I had rented the game a few times before that, and it just started getting to me.  I became obsessed with the game and bought a copy.

I continually speak against online gaming with consoles.... but I would actually consider buying a broadband adaptor for Star Fox GCN.  I can just imagine how much fun I would have playing Star Fox online....  Nobody will play Star Fox 64 with me anymore because I got too good at it.

I rest my case.....

now now lets not argue over semantics (sp?)

anyways, having lots of consoles is fun imo, i want to amass a huge collection, HUGE, at the moment it consists of a gamecube broken 64 (im still mourning its death) and snes, dreamcast and nes will come soon, and i gotta repair my 64 or buy a new one, then hrm, atari maybe?

I figured out what Nintendo's big annoucement is going to be.  They are going to purchase atari and put all of their old skewl Atari games on a Gamecube disc!!!! LOL, I would probably buy that too...

*Dreams of playing the best game EVAH, E.T for the Atari on Gamecube* sigh.......
