So I know how to transfer my saves (USB Drive), and then all I have to do is use the licence transfer tool so I can download all the content I have on my 120GB drive, and then I will be all set on using this 360. Well actually I could just buy it and play games I haven't touched yet. I hope we're getting some of these here in Canada so I can buy one within the next week or 2.

Well, I finally broke down and did it.  I'm finally buying an Xbox 360, if only for a handful of games.  One of the regulars on another site I frequent is buying one of the new Black models, and so I in turn am purchasing his model (a 2009 120 GB Elite) for pretty much exactly what I wanted to pay for it.  Hell, I'm even getting Lego Batman and Pure out of it, which aren't bad games.

So yeah, today was a good day.   ;D

I'm shocked that they announced it, and you'll be able to buy it tomorrow.

Right now there's just the Slim Black Elite Unit at $299 but MS did state it's going to release the Black Arcade Unit later this year at $199.  Starting today the white Jasper units (both the elite and the arcades get slashed by $50).

I know a few people who were waiting for this--250gb and Wi-FI built in (it was $80 adapter before).

How come the Wii had built in Wifi at launch, but the 360 is only now getting it? That seems odd.

No one's bothered by this?  "We have as many iterations as the Nintendo DS whoopity-doo!" ??

Considering I've been biding my time for the 360 to drop into a decent price range for the handful of games I actually want, no not really.  Anything that drives the price down on one of the more reliable units is fine by me.

Does the original Xbox 360 attachable hard drive use a USB connecter to hook into the console?

No. It's a proprietary connector.

No. It's a proprietary connector.

I had a speciel project that I was going to use it for later in the future. Thanks for the information.

But if you have an X-Box 360 Data Transfer Cable you can connect the attachable hard drive to anything with a USB input.

What i need is a regular cable that can bypass the data transfer cable.

The slim Xbox 360 will be the third, DS has four (unless you want to stretch it and consider the Xbox 360 Arcade with 256MB internal memory to be a different iteration). Besides, what does it matter?

You can just open the shell to the hard drive (any of them) and it's just a standard 2.5" SATA drive inside.
