I ain't 'fraid of no ghosts. http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/newsArt.cfm?artid=22601 This week in Nintendo downloads, we have seven new games available across Nintendo's digital platforms with three on WiiWare, and four on DSiWare. Sadly, there is no Virtual Console representation this week.
First up for WiiWare is GhostSlayer for 600 Wii Points ($6). This game, from publisher Gevo Entertainment, features support of Wii MotionPlus for use in first-person sword fighting, though the peripheral is not required. GhostSlayer is a single-player game with three levels of difficulty.
Next up for WiiWare is Mouse House, also for 600 Wii Points ($6). This title from Big John Games is a single-player puzzle game in which you guide a mouse through a maze while avoiding all of the traps to reach the cheese at the end. The game features 100 different puzzles, and boasts a pick-up-and-play style of gameplay for all ages.
The final WiIWare game this week is Family Go-Kart Racing from Arc System Works, available for 500 Wii Points ($5). This game features the same characters as the other Family WiiWare titles: Billy, Sarah, Mommy, and Daddy. You can race through 12 tracks in Grand Prix or Time Attack modes, and collect items to unleash on the other players.
On DSiWare this week, the first title up is Aura-Aura Climber, which is published by Nintendo. This game, available for 200 Nintendo DSi Points ($2) features a character named Aura-Aura who needs to return to his place in outer space and become a star. Using his grapple-arm, the player jumps from grapple-point to grapple-point, avoiding obstacles and enemies along the way. Aura-Aura Climber is a single-player arcade-style game.
The second DSiWare game is Flight Control, from Firemint games, for 500 Nintendo DSi Points ($5). This title, which has proven to be incredibly popular on iPhone, has you directing traffic in the skies as multiple planes come in from off the screen. As you draw a path from each plane to its proper landing strip, you must be careful that none of the planes strike each other. The DSiWare verison includes co-operative multiplayer.
The third DSiWare title this week is Faceez from Neko Entertainment for 200 Nintendo DSi Points ($2). This application allows you to take photos with the DSi camera, and then alter and animate those photos. The game allows you to save the photos back to the DSi memory so that you can upload them to Facebook using the DSi's interface.
The final DSiWare game this week is Flipper from GoodbyeGalaxyGames for 500 Nintendo DSi points ($5). Flipper is an isometric puzzle platformer featuring a boy who is looking for his stolen goldfish named Flipper. The power-ups in the game allow you to alter the environment, making for unique challenges. Flipper is a single-player game for all ages.
