I thought so too, but then you learned it was a six hour game. And then you learned that the advertising didn't show any of the game at all. You try to appeal that type of game to the same people who bought RE4 Wii, Metroid Prime, Twilight Princess? Haha, good fricking luck in trying to reach the million mark.

They shouldn't just focus on Wii, and Bayonetta is NOT THAT GREAT of a game. Good? Yes... the PS3 version however shows that Sega can't convert worth a damn. It got a bit better with the latest patch.

I am looking forward to it but when Amazon offered a preorder with 10€ off I still balked at the price because 60€ instead of 70 still isn't reasonable.

I played the demo, and eh...not really my thing. The game moves a bit too fast and frenetic for my tastes for a 3rd person cover shooter.

Not a fan of Sam's voice. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'd get tired of his BS after a while. He's not terribly likable so far. I wonder if the final game will allow players to change the aiming sensitivity. I found it a little too sensitive though I'm sure with time I could get used to it.

The demo is finally out. It's interesting but feels schizophrenic, on one hand it has all that crazy boost stuff and whatnot but on the other it expects you to take cover and cover seems way too effective (against the boss I was invulnerable in cover for the entire first phase and probably could have been in the second as well). So what am I supposed to do, standard hide-and-shoot crap or boosting around blasting stuff?

Yeah, I like it. It's fun but doesn't quite reach AWESOME levels. The game is really at its best when you're caught by surprise, don't have cover and need to improvise but unfortunately that happens rarely. It's still fun the rest of the time but not as awesome as, say, EDF.

With NPD no longer releasing any that'll be hard. It did reach the top 10 in Japan though.

Well, some stores like Fred Meyer and Gamestop post lists of their top selling titles so you could go into those stores and see what they say.

This applies to all of Platinum's games, sans Bayonetta. That only sold over one million though, so... yeah.
