you know, that's actually a good question. will they milk the franchise for all its worth? or will they wait a while longer and deliver a great smash hit? or maybe both? yeah, i'd like both.

why would they make a remake?  The current version is still a very good seller, and what stuff would you want added?
The will be no online for now, and there is already tons of characters so... I think they might wait for the next system, or work on a gba version.

Personally i would rather Nintendo wait a while before they introduce a new Smash Bros. I think SSBM will last me another 3 or 4 years, and also id rather they didnt milk it because i dont want it getting stale. And also i dont want it to be rushed, if another one were to come out for thr GameCube it would be slightly rushed i think and i'd rather wait for Nintendo's next console and hopefully it will be a launch title (SSBM wasnt a launch title, i had to wait TWO WEEKS!)

yeah wait till the next console, keep mechanics the same, a few new vs modes while keeping all/most of the old ones.
new characters they should include:- Wario, a space pirate (from the metroid series), Rick + some of the others i cant remember (no not rick powers, while that would be cool, talking about rick from kirby) Isaac/Garet from Golden Sun, another obscure NES/SNES character like ness and the ice climbers aaaaaaaaaaaand A TETRIS BLOCK

You know, after seeing that tournament mode at Infernal's house last week, I think that the next Super Smash Bros MUST have LAN and ONLINE.
Watching the CPU battle was fun, but there's nothing like haveing a touney with 64 other people.

Id definately like to see it on the next nintendo system, just as long as they put new stuff into it,
and kept it fresh.

A more engaging 1 player would be nice, co-op story mode, and comco attacks!!

I don't think Nintendo should make another Smash Bros just for the Gamecube but I'd be fine with a new Smash Bros title for the Triforce arcade system. Especially if it featured Namco and Sega characters. You have to admit, it would be appropriate considering the Trifroce was co-developed with Sega and Namco.
I can't be the only person who thinks it's really strange that Nintendo itself has yet to announce a single game it's developing for its own arcade hardware. Maybe there is another Smash Bros game nearing completion to be ready for the Triforce's launch.
Of course, if it were on the Triforce, it would inevitably be ported to the GCN eventually.

I dont really care which system it comes out on. But the only thing that is a MUST is to have some DBZ characters in it.

And why is that? Nintendo has the license to use them, and budiki and/or a new DBZ game is coming to gamecube in a little while. So why couldnt they be in it?

do nintendo them selfs actually hold the licence to DBZ? i doubt it, reguardless if they did, why would they put DBZ characters into a multi NINTENDO character game, it just doesn't make sence.

Unless it included online play (which it wouldn't) I don't think it would be worthwhile to make another Super Smash Bros. for the GameCube.  The first one just did...everything!  Maybe a create-a-stage mode or something...but even that wouldn't really justify buying another game in the series.
That's my opinion, not yours.

I'm inclined towards creating one for the next system. Nintendo pretty much did most of what they could've done with the current SSB formula. Just stick with the current SSBM and wait until next generation before creating another one. And hopefully even perhaps changing the formula around.

Hey, they are adding in some more changes w/ Mario Kart and Pikmin, while Camelot is supposedly making major changes to Mario Golf and Mario Tennis. I'm sure HAL is capable of making enough changes to Super Smash Bros. Melee to separate it from the pack
