Known in Japan as Last Window: Late Night Promise and Zangeki Reginleiv, the two titles are due out in Japan in January and February respectively.
 http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/newsArt.cfm?artid=20304

Nintendo announced that Zangeki Reginleiv for Wii and Last Window: Late Night Promise for DS are coming to Japan in early 2010.

Zangeki Reginleiv, formerly known as Dynamic Slash (or Dynamic Zan), is an action game from Sandlot, who are responsible for Earth Defense Force. There are over 300 weapons to use and four-player co-op. It's set for a February 11 release.

Last Window: Late Night Promise is the official sequel to the earlier DS title Wish Room: Tenshi no Kioku, which was known as Hotel Dusk in North America. Developed by Cing and set in 80s-era Los Angeles one year after the events of the original, Last Window is another interactive story like the first game. Last Window: Late Night Promise is due out on January 14.

Neither game has been confirmed for a North American or European release.

Hotel Dusk 2?  Goody!

Any screen shots released?  Does it have the same art style?  Hotel Dusk was light-years beyond Trace Memory.  If Last Window can expand on the gameplay concepts further I'll be a happy man.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

They better release Zan here. I do not want to add yet another game to the list of localization casualties NoA has on their hands.

Excited about the co-op. So perhaps it will be a type of dungeon crawler?

Umm...Nintendo already had some M rated games. I don't know what they were rated in Japan but Eternal Darkness and Geist were both M rated, were they not?

Hotel Dusk 2 is guaranteed to come here since the original did quite well in North America.  People fail to realize that Another Code Wii didn't come to North America because the DS game did poorly over here.  This is why the game came out in Europe because Another Code for the DS actually did OK over there.

Dynamic Zan on the other hand is anyone's guess since it could make it over like Endless Ocean did, or not like Disaster.  It all depends on if NOA feels that the game could be successful in North America.

I wish I could remain optimistic and be like "Woo! Dynamic Slash is totally coming to America!" but I can't. I'll have no faith until I have the North American game in my hands.

Like Luigi Dude said, Hotel Dusk is most definitely coming here I'd imagine. It's just a matter of when.

But they weren't made by Nintendo, just published.

Sandlot is making Dynamic Zan. Cing is making Hotel Dusk 2. Are those 1st or 2nd party dev studios? It is the same as ED and Geist.

From what I read, Nintendo is developing the game along with Sandlot, but maybe I should go back and re-read the source I saw last nite.

As far as Silicon Knights and N-Space, Nintendo didn't have a hand in the development even if they may have had a little creative input. more so with Geist than with ED though. I'm pretty sure SK was working on ED long before Nintendo even entered the picture.

Perfect Dark was published by Rare.
Eternal Darkness was the first M-game published by Nintendo of America.  Eternal Darkness was released in Japan October 2002.

Dynamic REGGIE-LEIV is the first CERO-D rated game by Nintendo of Japan, I guess is what everyone is trying to say.

CERO was established in July 2002.  Eternal Darkness probably missed the boat.  Geist didn't make it to Japan.

Trace Memory did poorly here because it came out before Soccer Moms and other casual players started picking up DS lites.  If NoA would re-release it at budget pricing like they did Hotel Dusk, I think they'd see some good sales for it.

If I remember correctly, KDR has the homebrew channel for import games, or else I'd be wondering if he's now planning to buy a Japanese Wii.

Zan is Japanese for Slash, that's why it's called Dynamic Zan in the fiscal reports and Dynamic Slash in that conference teaser. The final title is apparently Zangeki no Reginleiv with NeoGAF people saying Reginleif is the name of a valkyrie and the game supports Motion Plus (and the classic controller, I wonder if that would mean right analog controls the sword, supposedly the PS2 mech games Sandlot made had controls like that...).

CERO D is probably more like the PEGI 18 rating (which isn't as rare or porn related as the AO and Z ratings), 16 tends to be given to games that get a T in America.

Sandlot is making Dynamic Zan. Cing is making Hotel Dusk 2. Are those 1st or 2nd party dev studios? It is the same as ED and Geist.

Sandlot is independent of Nintendo, they usually get published by D3 Publisher.

If I remember correctly, KDR has the homebrew channel for import games, or else I'd be wondering if he's now planning to buy a Japanese Wii.

Of course I've got the HBC, this is Europe! A Japanese Wii would mean I couldn't get US-only games.
