A whopping eight games are released this week, featuring street fighters, sparkly pictures, vikings, dragons, and carnival games. http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/newsArt.cfm?artid=20228 Today's update consists of eight games: three for WiiWare, three for DSiWare, and two for the Virtual Console.
On WiiWare we have Carnival King from Incredible Technologies. At 700 Wii Points ($7), Carnival King features mini-games based on classic carnival games and attractions.
Keeping with the family-gaming theme comes Family Card Games from Aksys Games. The newest game in their Family series of WiiWare titles, Family Card Games features online play and three different card games: Daifugo, Speed, and Memory. Family Card Games is available for 500 Wii Points ($5).
Finishing up the WiiWare lineup is "Aha! I Got It" Escape Game from Ateam. The game has players helping a young boy to escape his room in order to celebrate his birthday. The title is priced at 500 Wii Points ($5).
On the DSiWare, playersalso have three new titles to choose from. The first of these is a camera application called Sparkle Snapshots. Gamers will use the DSi cameras to take pictures, then use the application to decorate their pictures with backgrounds, frames, and stamps. It can be bought for 500 DSi Points ($5).
From BiP comes a Viking-inspired game appropriately called Viking Invasion. For 800 DSi Points ($8), players will be able to defend their castles from the upcoming invasion. However, the more defenses they put up, the stronger the Vikings become.
The final DSiWare game is Ubisoft's Battle of the Giants: Dragons – Bronze Edition. As the title mentions, players will take control of a dragon and use it to defend the world from other evil dragons. The game is available for 800 DSi Points ($8).
Closing the week are two games for the Virtual Console. For the TurboGrafx16 CD-ROM there is Fighting Street courtesy of Capcom. The game is actually a port of the first Street Fighter game. Players curious as to how the beloved fighting franchise first started can pick up the game at 800 Wii Points ($8).
The other game is R-Type for the Sega Master System. . R-Type is a classic arcade shoot-'em-up developed by Irem and published by Sega. ItÂ’s available for 500 Wii Points ($5).
