It's not just any enemy crab, it's a giant enemy crab.

So where do we hit Sony for massive damage, then?  :D

Speaking of which...http://www.destructoid.com/sony-flings-a-ps3-at-an-lcd-tv-films-it-for-giggles-152608.phtml

The latest piece of "genius" Sony PR, though this one can be blamed on the Australians.

I don't think 360 is in any trouble, worldwide it still has double the sales of PS3. Natal could be a big boost for MS too.

Considering I've met people who have bought 3 or 4 Xbox 360s due to the RROD I think Microsoft's sales figures are somewhat artificial.  Still they might win in sales totals but Sony can challenge them in userbase, which will have more of an effect on game sales.

If memory serves, 360 has the largest attach rate for games (mostly because they have a year's head start).  But if their console sales numbers are inflated then the actual attach rate is even higher.  Besides, almost every multiplatform game sells better on 360 (except in Japen) so your argument is already refuted.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Given that the PS3's Blu-Ray Drive is internal and is one of those "slot" types (where you push the disc in until the PS3 pulls it in the rest of the way), it would be rather difficult for it to rip away during the impact.  Lots of chunks of flatscreen TV glass in there that could be easily mistaken for it, though.

The RROD is why I'll never buy a 360. No matter how cheap.

The RROD stopped being a problem long ago. Even at the height of the problem, it was only affecting a small percentage of systems (less than 10%). There is no reason to not get a Xbox 360.

This is NPD related, so I will post this here. According to Industry Gamers, NPD numbers show that Dead Space: Extraction only sold 9,000 copies for the September period. http://www.industrygamers.com/news/dead-space-extraction-sells-a-mere-9000-copies-on-wii/

I think most 360 exclusives are pretty meh for the most part.  Halo 3/ODST, Forza, Mass Effect, Fable, Gears, GTA IV DLC...nothing too terribly special there, as far as my tastes go.

EA spent $9 on Dead Sales Extraction marketing.  Shows how much they cared about it, how much consumer attention they wanted to grab.

Well you do have Uncharted as your Gears of War (burn).

I'd take Mass Effect or Fable 2 over any PS3 exclusive. Heck I'd take Forza over GT anyday if I was into sim racers.

Mass Effect 2 is looking extremely promising especially since it will take your save from Mass Effect 1 and integrate many of your choices and how you changed the world into that game as well. Then again that pales in comparison to the revolution in gaming manifest through blinking or dodgy eyes, looking away and looking at shirts that we find in Uncharted 2's cinematics.

I said this somewhere else, but if it weren't for the forums, I wouldn't have even known this game was out yet as I haven't seen a single ad for it anywhere on TV.

Hold the phone here. A new IP in a genre that's saturated on Wii and wasn't marketed at all didn't sell well? How does that make sense?

Oh wait, that sounds about right. Never mind.

You're forgetting ONE important score.  Geo Wars 1 and 2.  I'm tempted to throw down 200 just to have it in HD.  I have Super Star Dust but it just doesn't do it for me, thought Everyday Shooter is a worthy diversion.

I'm surprised that we haven't gotten a WiiWare edition of Geometry Wars 2. I know the disc based version didn't sell so well, but WW would have low overhead and I'm sure more people would get it at $5-$10 versus people viewing the disc-based game as a bloated, overpriced downloadable game.

Same here. MS must have some sort of deal as it doesn't make sense to not go multi platform with it given it's popularity.

Or maybe their experience/sales with Wii killed off any interest in pursuing that platform anymore in any form, digital or disc-based.
