Not sure which company the pedals come from but the survey did include a video showing off the game and pedals in use. Game looked pretty far along, so I would be surprised if it isn't announced/released by the end of the year. I don't have the vid, and I didn't actually do the survey so I don't have many more details. Sorry. Just thought the images would be interesting.

Why Nintendo, why must you keep your finger in my wallet. I'm only purchasing this game for my mom, but WHY!!!!!!!

edit: Cycling game may not be from Nintendo, but it's still on the Wii and my Mom would love it.

Gaming is entering its greatest era yet.

Just think, Mario Kart will soon by destroyed by Wii Wacky Racing, where players get to race using the peripheral/vehicle of their choice:

1. horse
2. skateboard
3. bike
4. snowboard
5. balance board monkey ball

But it doesn't end there, cuz this racing universe is an expanded vision of WuHu Island that's a persistent online world populated by Mii's dressed out with DLC apparel.

Play all the regular Wii Sports/Resort games, race your way from one side of the island to the other, go FISHING from the various voats (using the new rod-reel peripheral), and visit the protected wildlife area where you can illegally DUCK HUNT.

You have just entered Walt Wiisney's Wii World.

EDIT: I forgot Wii BBQ and Wii Salad and Wii Rythmic Gymnastics.

No one has answered my question yet; where did this come from?

I ask because we usually get e-mails announcing new games, as well as other sites reporting it, but no one has said anything nor do we have received emails about it.

Its why I believe this was an elaborate joke and the peripheral was actually built from actual pedals and painted to look like a Wii Peripheral.

Sad thing is, I see more short term potential in this than the Vitality sensor.
Its another extension to the WiiFit Regime and there are dozens upon dozens of mini games that would work well with the peripheral alone or with a controller too.

You could use it in a flight game where you fly old planes that are powered by cycle-powered propellers. I don't remember what they are called, but they always intrigued me.

Next thing you'll see is an actual treadmill that connects to your Wii so that you can actually run when playing the WiiFit jogging activity. Kind of like those treadmills that have a screen to simulate you actually running outside.

Combined with the Vitality Sensor, you could get all the benefits of a fancy treadmill in your own living room! :/

The pedal thing would actually work quite well for a port of some arcade game I played a few years back. It was a bicycle racing game. I didn't find it particularly good, merely competent, but it would be an easy port. I think Sega made it.

Keep the accessories coming because the bubble is going to pop and I want Nintendo to be affected by that. The only way they'll stop this is if it results in some sort of Virtua Boy level disaster. Nintendo feels far too indestructable right now and it has made them complacent. They need a big failure to keep them hungry and working harder.

Plus the accessory bubble popping would probably kill Activision dead and, well, who doesn't want to see that?

Expensive plastics can go, but the cheap gun shells are here to stay. I'm thinking of replacing one of my pistols; the trigger plastic got noticeably soft during our heat wave.

I saw that one once, though I didn't play it. You also reminded me that there was also one where you flew cycle-powered planes like I mentioned above.

Japanese introductory video to Wii Fit Plus.

It says that there's 69 activities total. Two of which are variations of cycling and golf. An IGN screenshot shows that there will be at least one more Balance Test.

I'm picking up this game on Sunday.
