It seems to me that only the 360/PS3 'crowd' would be bothered if their version was "fight"-less. To us it's just amusing.

Sounds less like "kiddie" and more like putting emphasis on different parts. Kinda reminds me of the We Ski covers in the US and Europe, the US one had grim and determined characters racing at high speed, the European had cute kids happily bumbling down the slope.

Oh WOW! A Wii game that is different and built from the ground up? God, EA sucks so much!!!!! I wish they'd just make inferior versions of 360/PS3 games for sports game; that was so awesome when they did that.

Yea, that's a great idea. Let's get all upset that they tried something different and exclusive for Wii.

The developers have said that in past years they would just take the PS2 version and add Wii controls to it, with Madden NFL 10 they said they decided to actually develop the Wii version with the Wii in mind rather than just porting the PS2 version.

But seriously, Madden 10 for Wii is something made specifically for it. It is a different game than every other version.

I'm playing it for review right now. It's actually kind of shocking that every mode is seemingly made for multiplayer. Although I still haven't gotten too into it yet.

I'm with Nron on this one: I don't see what the big deal is. The Wii version had its own separate development team with its own separate testing team and focus, so I don't see the big deal in the marketing blurb on the back reflecting a different focus than "hard grid-iron football kombat!" It's not an insult on the Wii, just a different direction for a game developed on an entirely different track than every other incarnation of Madden this year.
