I was wondering if these boards will be pretty active during E3. I like active discussion of it as it's happening, it makes it more exciting. How long has Planet GameCube had message boards and how many members are there that actually post?

well i have been at pgc for a while now but only just recently started to come to these forums
i would say that most forums, including this one, during e3 usually are busy and have lots of discussions
i would say i like active discussion too- i love talking about the surprises at e3 especially
i call the big one bitey.

its hell... and Mods must hate it... because jerkoffs make topics that already exist ... so you have about 4 topics on the press  conference alone, then at least 2 per game (until the mods make the "OFFICIAL" thread.. which, in my opinion, is a godsend, but their power-hungry selves seldom allow a lowly mortal such as myself make an official topic)
I'll shut up now...

yea we need something new to talk about cuz everything has really gotten stale.....i mean enough with the polotics lets talk games.....but it seems that no one has anything to say about the big games coming. i mena maybe i missed it but does no one care of Tales of Symphonia....it looks like what nintendo needs more of. it looks great to me.....

So these boards will probably get pretty hectic around E3? I hope they do. I forgot where I went, but I loved disussing what was happening and the big surprises that just happened.

Prepare for the possible server chokes again too. I remember having to hit refresh multiple times after hitting a link to a news bit before I could see it. But the dvd a few weeks later makes it worth while also.

I think you'll see a core group of people here and at IGN (their boards get insane with activity) posting as much as they possibly can.  Also, be prepared for sites to crash.  I would find several different sites that you really like and bookmark them now so you have an "E3 Group" of sites to visit.  Ironically, I'll be going to the press conferences, but not E3 itself (stupid school projects).

My personal E3 favorites are IGN and PGC... Gaming Age forums might be a good place to visit too.  PGC typically does some of the best stuff though imho.  For a general view of all gaming news you might try Shacknews.  They have a nightly feature that does a great job of that now and I suspect their actual E3 coverage will be pretty good as well.  The Penny-Arcade guys can be pretty entertaining too.

Compared to other forums, it's VERY tame. You guys who've only been here at PGC's forums may think it gets hectic, but I assure you, there's not enough people or leniant mods to let things get out of hand (the mods around here do an excellent job of keeping things in order). You want to see hectic, visit IGN's boards around E3. Pure hell.

I hate visiting video-game websites during E3. Because so many people are online, trying to get information all at the same time, every website is slowed down big-time. I can't post anything for awhile because the boards are too slow.  I can't download images of games because the traffic is too large, and I have highspeed!
